The Fitcam X is really nice since it makes it look OEM. The Lanmodo D1 is also nice with the cabin view cam, but I rather have the inner cam to be able to rotate to the side to capture the side window view. Much like what the Pruveoo 4 channel dash cam does. But that was before the Ioniq 5 came into my life. With the HI5 lack of a rear wiper, I decided to get a rear view mirror dash cam (Wolfbox G900) which allows me to see the rear view (if the cam is mounted under the rear spoiler).
Ya love the look of the fitcamx. That's a great point about the D1, I was hoping it could go side to side. The actual mount does allow full 360 rotation but it also turns the forward camera at the same time. Wolfbox 900 looks very interesting, I like the idea of it being integrated as the rear view mirror.
Hey Victor. I hope your newborn is doing well. Another good thing about an aftermarket V2L adaptor is for low spec cars like mine which don't come with the adaptor, but still have the settings for in in the infotainment, so I assume it can still send power out from the car. The thing is, I am not sure Hyundai actually offer to provide them them to lower spec cars as an additional accessory, at least not here in the UK when I looked a while back. Perhaps they are trying to keep it a premium feature. Nice that an aftermarket V2L adaptor can provide this, I didn't know about this even existing so thanks for sharing.
Thanks Yousha! That's right, v2l outlet inside is a top trim feature so I can see a lot of people being interested in this adapter because that works with all trims through the charge port. The adapter is also not provided here as part of the purchase with ioniq 5. It is included with the gv60 here though. I'm curious what people have been using it for, lots of creative minds out there.
@@CarsJubilee Good to have some confirmation for what I was thinking. Personally I would like to get some land one day. When I saw this feature (and outlets on the F150 Lightening) I thought this would be great for using power-tools of grid on remote parts of land even if the main house has outlets. A good alternative using battery power tools with many batteries, using a generator or getting a portable power storage device like an Ecoflow. It means I could use wired power-tools which are also often still more powerful than battery ones, in a cost effective and eco way. I probably won't use it with my Ioniq 5 as I may move abroad, though I can see myself getting another Hyundai group anyway. I saw the Ioniq Guy has created a backup option for his house using an adaptor. It would be good if Hyundai went down the same route as Ford and makes V2L as home backup an actual feature by providing higher output and offering bidirectional charger. With smart grids/ smart charging that would be great for renewable energy. Side note to update you on the issue I had the rattling from the 2nd row seats in my car. The service staff here in my local garage in Wales, seemed to have dealt with the issue recently with no hassle when it had its annual service. They said they took it for a drive and couldn't hear the rattling (to be fair it depends on road and it is inconsistent) but they said they tightened up all the bolts. It seems to have stopped the noises from 2nd row seats, but I haven't driven it much since the service or the on bumpy roads. There are still some other noises, though more minor.
Ya v2l or fords version is a very cool feature, hopefully more manufacturers add it. Your proposed use case sounds pretty perfect for it. Glad they were able to remediate the rattle, I haven't heard too many complaints about a 2nd row rattle.
@@CarsJubilee Yes, more manufactures should. I guess Tesla doesn't want to as they want to sell the Powerwall. Environmentally that of course doesn't make sense as that means many people are unnecessarily doubling up on batteries and the resources to make them. Yes, I haven't heard of that specific rattle issues from others, though I am not as in the know as you. I guess it may be just a random early production/ quality control problems.
the v2l inside only supports up to 300 watts. So if you want to power a fridge or something. you anyway need to use the v2l adapter because this supports up to 3000 watts
Hmm not sure about that, I've run a 1500 watt heater from the outlet inside the car. My understanding is max output is 3.6kW and that the one inside and outside are the same, but I'm not positive haha.

Ya I was thinking about getting the donger adapter, still considering it. I do prefer the cleaner less wires look but I think fitcam might be working on a dashcam for gv60.
@@CarsJubilee Mine is behind the mirror with a small 6 inch cable running next to the mirror for a couple hundred difference I'm fine with 6 inches of cable.
Amazon advert for FitCam X says it's for left hand drive vehicles only. Any idea why this would be the case? UK, Australia and others are right hand drive... Tks
Ya that's weird I see no reason it would matter left or right. The only thing is the sd card slot would not be visible from your driver side but that shouldn't be a big deal?
