no worries, I’m happy to answer☺️ I’ve been using etsy for about three years now and overall my experience has been quite positive. Listings are easy to set up, new orders to prepare are shown clearly and it gives you statistics to look at if you need. The most difficult thing to set up for me is always shipping because you have to do it country by country and it takes ages (wish they had an option to group up a list of countries so you don’t have to write the same thing 40 times ahah) but you can set up different shipping profiles and then just associate them with whatever listings so you don’t have to create a new one each time. Other than that they take a pretty substantial chunk of the profit, generally made up of a 0.20$ listing fee, a processing fee that is 4% of the order + 0.30$, a transaction fee that is 6.5% of the item and a regulatory fee that is 0.32% of the order… it’s confusing ngl I think eventually it would be nice to move to a different platform and set up my own website, but because it is something I do on the side and really don’t put that much time into, etsy was and still is an easy choice that also brings extra customers in that wouldn’t necessarily have found my shop otherwise I haven’t had issues with the platform itself really so as a starting platform I would recommend it. That being said though, I don’t have experience with any other platform, so I can’t say if it’s better or worse compared to anything else Hope this helped!🥰
