I use the N2 Sterling Ink Weeks size which I’ve been loving! This year was interesting as I finished my undergrad and have now transitioned into my first post grad job, so it has adapted as such. I had a long to do list (Alastair method, similar to yours) when I was in school with time specific events on the left. Now, I mark my work shifts on the left as well as add in notes of what happened throughout the day, little feelings and thoughts etc which helps when I’m updating my long form journal! I write down random notes, planning, thoughts etc on the right along with a “what I spent this week” tracker to keep my accountable with my savings goals with a cross country move on the horizons. Maybe you can write out your “why” for having the weeks, and that will regroups you to you use it in the first place :). I hope this helps! Thank you for sharing your wonderful spreads! ❤️
Hi there~ ah I have so many thoughts! This was such a pleasant video, and relatable as well. The change from one Avec to the next is deeeefinitely not an easy on during exams, so I think the Hon is doing you a favor! It is looking beautiful, might I add. I totally get you with the postponing of life during exams....and complaining to your journal about it 😄 But you are really doing so well! Life shall presume soon. I am excited to see how this journey unfolds for the rest of the year. Sending you peer support for the rest of exam season!
Always love hearing you talk through your notebooks. Thank you for this video! Your Hon is looking beautiful. For the weeks, I would suggest giving it time, if you aren’t reaching for it then that’s ok, it will be there when you need it. ❤
That is so lovely, thank you🥺 I also think that is probably the way to go, I’ll use it loosely for a while, just writing lists when I need, and figure something out once the chaos is over and I can enjoy that again!🥰
I want to encourage you not to be intimidated by classics. I think, in most cases, “intimidating” books’ difficulty is overstated. Like, they’re deep enough that people can philosophize over them endlessly but you don’t have to do that, you can just read them like any other book.
That is a very kind thought! I don’t think I explained it well but I actually really love classics and for a long time it was all I read. Some of my favourite books are classics and I hold them very dear. At the moment, however, I have felt like reading something more contemporary both because it’s just what I’m in the mood for (and because I previously hadn’t been reading for a few years, I feel like I have so many wonderful books to catch up with) but also because, as much as I love the writing and the language of classics and that is often one of my favourite things about the book (I could read Wilde or Hesse for days on end, for example), I also recognise that, both in Italian and in English - which is not my mother tongue - it can be harder to understand, and when reading such beautiful writing I like to be in the right mindset to be able to truly appreciate it. University has been fairly intense this year and I haven’t found myself in that mindset, or felt like I had the mental capacity to read classics in the way I want to read them. It’s likely that when things calm down a little after exams are over I will pick a few up again, and I am very excited to do so! I absolutely share your thought and definitely didn’t explain myself well, but I hope this made some kind of sense!
It was incredible honestly, so much more than I expected. So much energy and interaction with the crowd and they played 36 songs non stop??? Actually insane🤯 If you ever get the chance I would highly recommend it🥹
sorry about the strange/abrupt music cut around 24:30 and 27! had to change it with the yt editor because the background song I'd used got recognised (as a different song??? genuinely very confused) and copyright claimed 🥲 hope it isn't too striking, and wish you a lovely day if you're reading this!!
Oooh cool! Hope you had a great time nonetheless☺️ I was really happy to see nothing but thieves again too because I had a great time last year as well, but I was very pleasantly surprised by Green Day tbh
It’s a preset I made in my editing software ages ago! I think I made the shadows a bit greener and warmed up highlights and mid tones like I tend to do in my paintings, and then I adjust the light depending on the clip😅 not very helpful I’m afraid!
I am few minutes in and just wanted to ask is that your natural hair colour? Its such a pretty colour. Also was that a salt lamp ? Love your videos I always get excited when I see your video pop up ❤❤
Thank you🥺🤍 and nope, not my natural colour, I’m naturally a very dark blonde/light brown and I’ve been dyeing it with henna for nearly three years^^ Also yes, I have a salt lap on my bedside table because I like the warm light in the evenings as I read!
Reading this makes me so happy! Your videos have been such a comfort for the past few - very intense - weeks, so I’m glad it goes both ways🥺 and of course best of luck with your revision!
The second Murakami book is "Sputnik Sweetheart" in English :) I think the first one is "Novelist as a Vocation" Loved this video, so fun to see your notebooks
You are inspiring me to use my TN more! Such beautiful pages and the layout is always immaculate! How do you size those photos? I really like how the size of the photos are so intentional for the size of the TN!
That’s so lovely to hear! Hope you’re having fun with it🤍 I did some tests printing things out and basically keep reference size images as layers in a procreate file so each week when I go to print my photos I just import all the photos from the week and resize them using those as a guide! Sounds more complicated than it is ahah If it helps my usual size photo both in the tn and in the Hon is 6x8cm and the larger photos in the tn are about 10x13cm. Hope it helped!
I love the way you transitioned your TN to an art/photography/creative journal and that is the coolest tea bag holder ever! I would’ve kept it too! Definitely take photos of your commissions!
May was a really busy month for me, too. Exams, birthdays, everyday life problems... I could barely spend some time with my journals and planner. I'm glad to see that I wasn't alone :) Thank you so much for your videos. I discovered your channel a month ago, and since then I have been watching your videos while I journal or do some commonplacing. They are good company :D Greetings from Argentina :)
I definitely feel you, feels like everything and anything happened in May. I tried to keep up and document everything as best as I could but it’s not always easy! Very happy to have been keeping you company🤍
New viewer here! i was definitely confused but i enjoyed the video anyway cause you still indirectly said what each one was for (?) and your spreads are really pleasant to look at so i really didn't mind :3
I’m glad it still somewhat made sense! I usually give the general breakdown at the beginning but I completely forgot this time ahah (also I worry it maybe gets a bit repetitive for regular viewers? It’s always a bit confusing ahah), thank you! Hope you’re having a lovely day^^
Thank you! It’s actually the 11th, you have a birthday twin in the comments of my last video though, someone asked a similar question!🥰 and happy birthday^^
