I've being using the glow effect on my reaction videos since you thought us how to do a circle mask and drop shadow a little while ago, got the idea from that video and it has being a great add on!
You're missing the link for the star PNG, but I'm assuming it'll be one of Pexels or Pixabay as they're pretty great for free stock images and graphics. Another class video!
You are so user-friendly, I've never looked at the Resolve User manual. So, I have to wonder if any of this information is in the manual. Someday, I'll get good enough in Resolve to likely have to check the manual. Until then, it is you all the way! 🤩😂 Thanks for this part 2!

Another great video. Did not know about the data burn in - that's cool. Quick question though, in the Nvidia advert your render page has the NVidia encoder. This does not show on my PC even though I have an NVidia card. Is this because I have the free version of Resolve or something else?

Keep up the awesome work! 🔥🔥🔥 I have a problem re-creating the CCTV look though in that the Data Burn-in option doesn't work for me on a clip (works fine on whole project). There are multiple adjustment layers already on the clip (Magic Bars🤙 and a dynamic zoom), could this be the reason, i.e. only works on an unaltered clip? Hope you can help. 🙏
Think I've answered my own question and it does only work for the top clip in the timeline. I got around it with another adjustment layer, it limits you to using the record timecode (as the source is static) but it works for my application. Thanks again for an awesome tip. 🔥
Couldnt you duplicate it, transform to shape as needed...maybe use warp grid if lots of contouring to surface reflected on, drop down opacity or use blend mode...add fancy efx if wanted or needed. Im sure theres several ways to do it. This is just how I initially would approach it, though my DR knowledge is still limited but learning thanks to Alexs tuts.
Wow, with a bit of calculation I can make a 4k display look like the good old 405 line monochrome TVs of my youth. With a bit of extra effort I could even round the edges of the screen and maybe add that extra reflection of the living room light on the curved glass screen. All this high res colour stuff is so overrated. 😃
not sure the issue but mine does not flicker...damn was hoping to get this to work. Not sure why. I have the paid version so its not that. I just have a color bg maybe its that? I have tried a few different colors and adjusted the speed, range and...well all the settings. Still nothing. Thanks for the video tho./
can you please make a video about making vertical videos for ig reels and stuff. i can only set the project to 1080x1920. i want to edit in 4k,but when i set it to 2160x3840, it just crops it to 16:9 leaving a hug black border on top and bottom. i ahve tried to zoom and transform as well, couldnt find any solution...please help
I realize I say this every time but l just learned something new. It's not so difficult, as Resolve is so massive that there is tons of stuff under the hood which I'm guessing the Big Boys of the Resolve World don't know about or have forgotten. Don't suppose you've ever had a go at emulating the fancy title screens that the BBC use before stuff like the news or Strictly? They look really cool transitions.

I like your videos, but you explained most of these effects in your videos in the past, and now you're repeating them again. we need tutorials about Fusion, Fairlight, and Color page.
i have a RTX 2060 do you think i will notice a difference on my timeline it takes to render in, by switching nvidia experience from Game ready driver to studio driver while using davinci resolve?
Probably not too much honestly. The Drivers are generally for GPU effects I believe etc although you may notice a small improvement. It’s only a driver so switch, test it and if you don’t notice any different, you can just switch back to the Game driver if you want to :)
