Janko, Nice to revisit your ‘older’ work. I used to watch your videos and you hooked me with the 997 X51 review. I owned a 997 for a few years back then Just got into an 85 3.2. I remember you mentioned how impressed your kid was that you were an actual RU-vidr. Anyway, good times. Thanks for the content. I enjoy your effort and passion. Cheers from near Boston
This particular classic Porsche is one of the luckiest ones ever built. The owner of this car is an amazing person. It’s fantastic that he has cared for it and driven it for such a long time. And your review of this car is just gloriously entertaining and informative. Thank you very much.
And I actually thought I was the only Porsche owner who felt this way. How wrong I was! This was another wonderful video from a driver who I feel I have a true kinship with. Janko, you are a true Porsche lover. As I’ve mentioned previously........hands down........the finest Porsche RU-vid channel available.
I totally agree on all your points. I own the same car in Tangerine. We share a special love for a special machine. Awesome from coast of Northern California where I drove along the Pacific Ocean on HWY 1 today for 40 miles in it with my wife next too me and our dog happily in the back with the windows rolled down on a sunny clear day. Perfect car for that. Cheers!.
Form follows function. This was the car that got me into Porsches when I was a kid and as far as I'm concerned is the German Miura (Miura is still the most beautiful car ever created, but the 1970s 911 comes close in my opinion). This was almost Petrolicious/Carfection levels of car video, and done by only one guy. Congratulations on a great job!
Thanks 🙏 for the energy, please subscribe I believe I have something in my garage right now that looks pretty much like your picture 🤔. Coming soon on my channel. If you would like to support my channel please share my videos on social media.
A lot of things he says I can refer with. It's the little things wich gets you excited like the dooropening sound, the fell when you put the key on ignition, the feeling of that leather Steeringwheel. It's like a foreplay and you get excited cause you know what's coming. The sound of the engine, pure driving pleasure and the feel of the heritage of that car you sit in. It is what makes old sportscars fantastic for me... ...in my '96 Mazda Mx5 NA😆
I'm not sure I would like to own one, we romanticise the early 911 cars. I have own an early 11 and I was really used. Not the perfect drivers car but it is a beautiful history experience. This might be my 5th or 6th Porsche in the garage and that's already too many. This said, it is a blast to drive, feels like a time machine.
This video increased my motivation to succeed in life. Because I absolutely want to own a classic Porsche. If not one of these, at least an 80s 911 or 944.
They do create a lot of passion the classic Porsches, if you haven't already watched my review of the 991 S2, please do and thank you for the time you spend on my channel.
Please do more of the old ones whether you must beg, borrow, steal, please just do them and let us see that magnificent country of yours in the background and hear the engines much more than the music. Thank you!
What a BRILLIANT video....this gentleman really knows his car both inside and out...and I love the sincere passion that he explains the details regarding this gorgeous Porsche 911S...what a car...what a video. many many thanks, gerhard (Melbourne , Australia)
I really enjoy your videos - you show great passion and enthusiasm for the brand as you feature these special machines. Your camera work and editing are first rate! Please keep presenting these iconic cars!
Yes, because if you drive them, you will enjoy the privilege of having them and other people especially enthusiasts will see them. Your recommendation is on spot.
Excellent 👌! This is my favorite car of all time. I'm a few years away from retirement and I plan to find a 911s similar condition to this car. I'm a transporter and years ago I transported a 912 . The new owner met me at a Lowe's but he didn't have anyone available to help him take it home so I drove it to his house and I was amazed at the feeling of driving the 912 I can only imagine how much better the 911 would feel with the additional HP. Thank you 👍 😎
Excellent video Janko! I was looking for videos on vintage 911S’, and come across yours. Your enthusiasm for this wonderful car is contagious. Now you have another subscriber. 👍
I love your videos and how you describe the cars. Your enthusiasm is wonderful like sitting in an old wing back chesterfield chair that has the scent of cigars, patina leather and nostalgia. I own a 1988 Porsche 928s4. Can you please get your hands on a 5 speed 928 GTS AND do what you do best?
Welcome to my channel Ken, Happy that you like my channel, please spread the word about my channel. If you have not already please subscribe. Again thanks for the energy you give and the time you spend on my channel.
Hi Byungwoo Jung, Thank you very much, yes some more subscribers would not hurt. IF I get more subscriptions it would be easier for me to get good content. If you have the energy, please recommend my channel. Thanks for watching.
Omg I love this channel, I am looking forward to your video’s every single day, and every time you upload I am so excited. I hope your channel will grow like crazy Janko!
You certainly convey your passion ! You seem to be one with this 1970 Porsche 911S. And that is more important than figures and performance. It’s all a question of atmosphere. Well done. The car is beautiful in its simplicity and fluid lines. No wonder the 911 will celebrate it’s 60th birthday in 2023!
Big thanks, Pierre, my viewers are in general above 35 years old, and pushing a big red button saying subscribe is intimidating and feels like a huge cost...
Dear Janko, it is a pleasure to see your Passion for this Car. I Share this 100%. Altough I’m driving a new 991.2 Carrera I feel the same. Thanks for this Video and Greetings from Germany.
Thanks, Martin, love to here from Germany 🇩🇪. Appreciate your energy that you give me. Congratulations to your car 🚗 it is a bless to drive. Thanks for watching and subscribing.
Great Video, Your passion is awesome!!! I own a 997 4S Targa in Guards red with Full Fabspeed INtake, Exhaust and Tune and it is simply sublime!!!! Thanks for the Video.
Absolutely fantastic video and love your passion, enthusiasm and shear detail about this stunning car! Watched it 3 times over and over and just love your excitement as I know I’d be exactly the same! Brilliant 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😁
Thanks, Phil, this car in particular is unique with its love story. It's not a car to drive a lot in, it's far from a comfortable ride but you feel the Porsche history flushing through the engine oil into your veins. If you are not already, please consider subscribing.
Sometimes wish they could try and reduce the size of the current 911 to be more like their predecessors. Safety and other tech, plus crash protection, and providing driver comforts make that a difficult request.
No, not had the chance to drive a 718. Am afraid I would like them so much, I would break the bank account. I am though beginning to fixate on 2009 to 2011 Boxsters, the last of the hydraulic steering and just about affordable.
Absolutely brilliant video mate! This is the first time i have atumbled upon your channel and this is the first video of yours i have watched! Thank you very much for sharing with us this stunning car with so much love and passion . You have a new subscriber! I look forward to watching some of your other videos. Thanks again for giving us access to the content you produce. It's beautifully presented! Cheers! Alan
I'm a big fan of your videos, would you mine sharing some of your drone filming technics…? Maybe even the make and model of the drone used?… I especially love the way you pan out at the end of your videos...
Hi Ron, I’m a beginner when it comes to producing video. I started to study in November 2017 and the channel started end January. To show how I make the videos is difficult since I do not know if I’m doing it the right way. When it comes to drones I’ve crashed 5 times and it has cost me a loot. Not sure 🤔 if my sharing would help any one also but DJI workshop. I have a DJI Mavic Air.
I belive at least Nord Mann that we are a good competitor for the title. Thank you for all your contributions that you make to our community and the time you spend on my channel.
+1 .. This old old chestnut applies; the doors, roof, and greenhouse are the same as far out as the 1998 Carrera 993. .. Porsche AG engineering evolution,, in Spades.
By putting the headlights on the hood you ruined the front curve of the car. the lights should go next to the main headlights. the whole segment is semi comical verbiage.
The 911 is the poor man's 928. Sorry - I gotta call balls and strikes. the 928 was European "Car" of the Year 1979. No other sports car including the 911 has ever won "Car" of the year. The 928 has won 2 production car land speed record at Bonneville (1986 and 2020) - the 911 has exactly won none. Even 911 enthusiast Magnus Walker has started his 928 collection - its Now or Never for the 928 still the biggest Bang for the Buck in classic Porsches. Singer/RWB/RUF could easily reimagine 928s - its just a matter of time before someone specializes in customizing and outlawing 928s - There is no substitute. The 911 Killer's time has come!
Really sick and tired of air cooled slanging on newer 911’s. I am saying NOT beautiful with those crap driving lights on hood. I am not trading my liquid cooled flat six for your old underpowered car. Thumbs down 👎
