This week I look at some handy little gadgets and put them through their paces. Walters fencing sent their new post lifting plate, so I try it three ways. Lift and Lock is a new slant on the block and tackle with a great safety catch allowing one handed operation. I find immediate uses for this on the farm. Last but not least comes a safer version of the Bungee cord that might also do away with cable ties, well sometimes at least.....

One has to admire RU-vid as I don’t know why but I’m glad it did when up popped your channel. For a Shoalhaven lockdown resident who used a many star pickets as in my wife’s garden the Walters grab will be a blessing and has been ordered. I also like the Lift and Lock. Your take on the reviews was entertaining as are other of yours. Best wishes.

Nice one Tim. Saw you again on Landline this week. One method to add to the Walters post grab would be to attach it to my Whites Post lifter. It should bolt straight on and do a better job than their C shape grab.

Thanks for the product reviews Tim. Australian ingenuity for all suituations. The fire reminder is a constant suituation that you never ignore, even in the isolated area of Woomera. Low dense scrub fires are far more difficult to respond to than bushland.👍👍🇭🇲

I'm sure I'm not the only one who was waiting for the shed roof to re-level... very impressed with the strength of the screw / bolt in the beam though. 😊 Saw a tackle set a bit like that used by the Royal Navy, bigger capacity though and - to cope with the truly huge amount of webbing - they had what I guess was a geared roller-upper, which looked like a more substantial version of a long survey tape winder. Good kit, but any chance of one with just a wee bit more weight capacity?
