That is an excellent demonstration of what happens when there exists a bad electrical connection, and why it's so dangerous! Failures like that are another reason why I don't like plastic heaters. That could easily ignite a plastic housing, whereas it's going to be pretty well contained and away from flammable materials inside the metal housing.
Very good point ! At the very least it could melt and distort the plastic and become a dangerous situation. I've seen a situation like this in a couple of houses before. one time my uncle lost all power in his bedroom after my aunty had a heater plugged in. we found out the hot wire completely burnt off on the plugin beside the door lol . it's scary because a bad connection wont kick a breaker , shel just keep going until something happens
