It used to be mainly farms, ranches, and a few cabins around the small downtown area. It's a disaster now.

What brought us to New Braunfels was the hill country and the green neighborhoods. I love the older neighborhoods in NB that have left many trees and the deer come around. I like watching them, the birds and other animals. I wish the developers would keep more trees in these new developments but they don’t.
