Thank you so much. I don’t like to bring it up too often but it’s a part of the package sometimes. Thank you for the encouraging words. 😊

You got this! It is difficult to be a parent and try to accomplish other things.

I really love my site and supervisor and I'm really learning a lot through my internship. I can totally understand how you feel. I'm raising two teenage boys and I'm nearing the end of my graduate program and it's been hard. You're going to make it.

Thank you so much for sharing that. I can only imagine having teenagers I’m sure they keep you busy. At the end of the school journey everything kind of comes at you at once. It’s a one thing at a time kind of deal for sure. Congrats on almost being done. 😊

Hi! Did you find it difficult / competitive to be accepted into your program? I have applied to a CMHC program and did not stop to consider how competitive it may / may not be.

Hello friend, the one thing I learned is everyone around me is the student that wants to do their best. You won’t get away with slacking, each student in the program is a student that did really well in undergrad and they are goal oriented. It is pretty competitive but in a good way where you are constantly challenged to think and evolve, it’s one of the best parts of the program. Same with the teachers.

@@kdcounseling Hi! Thank you so much for getting back to me. Applications were due Feb 1st - so I guess I will just wait and see. My bachelors degree is in nursing - but I am interested in counseling due to my own experiences with mental health. I am just worried that a non psych / related undergrad may deter from acceptance. Have loved watching some of your videos / journey through school. And wish you all the best 🤍 Maybe I’ll come back to these comments (if) I do receive positive news. Thank you!

@@obsessivelyocd I think that your nursing background would be perfect for this. I know many nurses that work in psych in multiple capacities. There are a lot of people that came from law and engineering I wouldn’t worry about that at all. Let me know how your journey is going for sure 😊
