Follow up on my previous video about the Ottoman forces at the Khotyn Campaign, discussing some other sources and questions
One of the sources mentioned but not pictured in the video:
Abdülkadir Efendi. Topçular Katibi 'Abdülkadir Efendi Tarihi. Volume 2. Edited by Ziya Yılmazer. Ankara: Türk Tarihi Kurumu, 2003. pp. 707-713.

Really interesting and great to see the details of the sources. I’m enjoying the ongoing investigation in to the Khotyn campaign.

Interesting as ever. On Page 533 you mention the term " 'askeri. " Is this the root of Askari, a term often used for East African infantry raised from native populations (and which had Arabic influences)?

Hello, thanks for the video. Did your sources mention serhad-kulu cavalry (besli, gonullu, deli) in any quality?

no it didn’t mention those specifically mainly just different sancak names. I can look again. There are some of the documents that might mention it but I can’t yet read the script
