The early immigrants came when there was almost nothing and help to builed America without welfare. These asylum seekers came to take advantage of the things that are already built. Ukrainian refugees must have a sponsor in the U.S. who is responsible for them. I sponsored several Ukrainians. They stayed at my home for several months. I helped them to obtain all legal documents including work permits and SSN’s. Then I helped them to find jobs and co-signed their rental agreements. My wife donated her old car to them. Both families are doing well- working and paying taxes now. This is how it should be done.

All the Mayors would need to do is admit to themselves that the situation is worse than what they thought it was and have been wrong blaming Gov. Abbott, then meet with him and work it out, politics aside. This is Biden's doing, not Governor Abbotts.

That will never happen, too expensive to charter and too much coordination for Texas to do so. Also 853 is the theoretical maximum, but no airline or charter in the US has that configuration. Although, I’m sure you could care less about facts.
