Steven's appearance reflecting the wrong version of the show actually has a precedent within WB. Ben 10 was originally supposed to be his OG form when FusionFall launched their prequel manga "Worlds Collide," but Alien Force/Ultimate Alien came out by the time the game released and it was better marketing (and storytelling) to age the Ben 10 characters up. Steven's Future form is probably not as iconic on a wider scale, so I can see them going with the little kid version for branding purposes.

The star child should be Jake, since it's a whole episode named like that in Adventure Time and it's about Jake (also his star child skin)

It is worth mentioning if I remember my RWBY lore correctly the witch could be referencing ruby as her mother had been called the scarlet witch at some point (my knowledge of that lore is rusty and even then I only watched till season 3, so if anyone wants to fact check me go ahead)

Are you sure "Starchild" is Steven Universe and not Jake the Dog? "Starchild" was something he was called in the show a few times. And I'm pretty sure "The Narrator" is supposed to be a visual representation of the guy who does the voiceovers in the Friday the 13th trailers, since he talks exactly like him. The "But this year Friday the 13th falls on... RABBIT SEASON" was a direct reference to "Taking a weekend getaway is a great way to relax and enjoy nature, unless that weekend falls on... FRIDAY THE 13TH" from the Friday the 13th Part 3 (in 3D) trailer.

I like the idea of having pets being with you while fighting. Toasty is cute as hell. But one thing I'm worried about is if Scooby ends up being a pet instead of a full-fledged fighter

I can see Neptr from Adventure Time being a "pet" He was a assist in the Beta (Alongside Banana Guard and Mr. Meeseeks), both Meeseeks and BG came back, except for him. And it would make sense because he was just a little guy following you around in the Beta, which is basically what pets seem to be

A cool thing they could do with the wicked witch is with her voicelines referencing her past appearances including one with Tom and Jerry, referencing the crossover Wizard of Oz movie

Would like to point out that Butch’s voice actor is already on payroll for Mojo Jojo so all they would need is Rob Paulson for Brick and Boomer. Then we’re golden for RowdyRuffs.

toastie is in the rifts as an ally sort of thing, it shoots projectiles at opponents when you hit them. the other pets are probably the same thing

If the leak about when shark week is and when the season is ending is true, then I’m guessing Aquaman and Agent Smith are probably the only other characters in season 1, since it would be hard to space out characters every two weeks if Aquaman’s releasing alongside the shark week event. Otherwise, I’d be expecting a new fighter to be revealed sometime this week. Also, I highly doubt this was intentional, but the narrator looks a lot like the guys in the background of the portal stage in Mortal Kombat 2. I really don’t think this means anything, but I figured it was worth mentioning.

If characters have the same sort of fighting styles I'd like for those to just be variants. Shazam/Black Adam, Superman/Supergirl, Black Adam/Shazam and so on.

That stage coming out, the Mesas/Runner one, is coordinated with road runner, so we could possibly get WileECoyote or the Road Runner as characters

I'm definitely thinking the "red planet" comment mixed with the Watchmen stuff might indicate a Mars stage with Dr. Manhattan's crystal clock? Maybe? There was also a line referencing Saturn in Rick's voice lines. Ideally it's a reference to Beetlejuice's Saturn, indicating a sandworm stage, but *in theory* Martian Manhunter would have a really solid variant in Jemm, a Saturn-based hero who was originally supposed to be a cousin of his.

The Narrator in the Jason Rift seems like he was meant to be the Crypt Keeper from Tales from the Crypt, which did run on HBO, although it’s not something owned by Warner Bros. I wonder if he was originally meant to be the Crypt Keeper and he go changed to a generic Narrator somewhere in the process? The way the Narrator is written in the Rift feels like the Crypt Keeper is was they were going for, and purple robes is what the character is seen wearing in Tales from the Crypt Keeper related stuff if you just look on Google for that cartoon or the character.

We have even more lines from Shaggy and Velma where they are talking to Scooby if im not mistaken. On top of that, He has two new shows and the Velma special so i wouldnt be suprised if he shows up towards the end of this year or next year.

Pets will probably be for rifts to help us on harder difficulties. I wish they’d focus on characters & maps though, not pets/rifts. Wish they’d release new characters and maps. Never thought the relaunch would have no new content for weeks. They’re losing momentum & it’s sad. I want MVS to do well 👍🏻

Can I be honest: does any speculation matter for the game if player numbers still keep dropping the way they have been? Sure it’s not gonna shut down tommorow but I’m not convinced WB will be happy 6 months from now if the results stay the same or are worse

I really hope we get Rorschach as a playable character, so that way we can get a Question (from DC) skin for him. that would be a good way to have similar characters in the game. and as a Question fan, it would be awesome to have him in the game.

"The Witch" could be referring to Raven, as some Titans comics (Such as Titans United) refer to as 'that witch, Raven'.

I'm wondering why some of the old datamine characters are left off the list? Weren't characters like Godzilla and Legolas in the old beta datamines?

The joker Jason mask skin is a special bundle in the shop and the black Adam Jason mask skin is a reward for the team Batman vs team joker event

He usually leaves hints for the next character in his video, so the maybe the boxing gloves and green hat mean something

But i REALLY do hope to see the PPG(and the RRB as their alt skins) and just everyone of these other leaked characters as well, as it once more adds variety and freshness to the roster since I am getting a little sick of seeing the same old characters over and over.

Not sure if anyone else has mentioned this but Jon Tobias hasn’t worked on Mortal Kombat in like 25 years since MK 4 or Special Forces so him being there probably doesn’t mean anything though I would love to be wrong but I’d look out for pictures with Ed Boone in them he still works on the games though Tobias did come back to work on the MK vs DC comic book in 2008

The thing about Ruby being in Multiversus is I'm unsure if they are allowed to place her in the game since Warner Bros dissolved the people behind that character, Rooster Teeth. I don't know the whole situation behind it since I wasn't into that franchise, but maybe there were definitely plans to put her in the game.
