I like how you where addressing the problem ya i agree with you it's unlocking the characters that makes it tough how every I can see 2 ways they can go about it #1 they should try and make a Campaign mode more like Super Smash Bro's 64 Classic mode or Melees Adventure mode maybe a Boss Rush Mode. #2 They should make Stage Hazards count in the KO charts so even If you lose the Stage Hazards/Bosses points add to the in game currency making the grind easier and faster like how Super Smash Bro's Wii U did with Ridley and Metal Face
When it comes to it being a platform fighter, it isn't so bad to only have a few characters to main. Now, maybe they should have a 60 dollar fighter pass or something to unlock all the characters the way brawlhalla or smite have done, and they probably should go back to the training mode having all characters. But I've gotten enough currency to buy 4 characters (including shaggy) and am sitting on 3k to get a 5th , and that's just from doing all the daily missions that take maybe an hour a day. It's not a perfect system, but it's not like you will only be able to play shaggy for the entire game. I do wish it was faster though. If I of all people am able to do ladder combos, it needs to be sped up, it should not be easy enough for me
I think they should do something like a challenge mode like after a few battles you’ll unlock a challenge you can complete to unlock a new character or skin for a character
To be fair the multiversus, it has a lot going for it that smash doesn’t. Smash is a console exclusive, multiversus is on all platforms AND cross platform, smash only allows 2v2s with a partner you know locally, multiversus lets you play 2v2s with a remote partner, smash’s netcode is and always has been hot dookie on a sumemr sidewalk, and multiversus has server and connection issues RIGHT NOW but it’s been out less than a month compared to ultimates years to improve their netcode so its kinda apples to oranges. I have a lot of hope for multiversus cuz it has a lot of things that are unique in platform fighters going for it and I’m excited to see the roster expand.
OH, and i forgot to mention, smash is pay to play, while multiversus is free to play and all monetization is optional. Having to either play extensively or pay to unlock characters is pretty standard for a f2p business model. Think league of legends or brawl stars.
@@jonadams2741the mechanics of this game will most likely never reach what smash bros does. Don’t get me wrong this game sounds and looks very promising, but let’s be real
@@dm1660 Why would it want to? Multiversus is it's own series after all? what I'm saying is Smash Bros CPU's are not programed well and has dull moveset as most all reused to the bare minimum that has nothing much to do with mechanics plus Ultimate is in decline so that happens to almost every game
The biggest selling point will be a frer platform fighter with recognizable characters on pc, xbox, and ps. Smash will always be better mechanicaly, but no one is buying a 200$ switch which is 5+ years old and has crappy hardware plus 60$ game.
People are acting like you're supposed to unlock everything in a day. Give it a month at least, like holy shit. The game is free and you can unlock everything by playing an hour or two a day
There's nothing to do between unlocking characters because they gameplay experience is trash. If people genuinely liked the gameplay instead of just tolerating it they would be able to bare with the crappy monetization.
@@NinkoCv Not when you only have to play for like an hour a day. And generally this is how live service games work. If you unlocked everything in one day, what would be the point?
@@edwardhoffenheim3249 Your comment is so salty 😂 Reminds me of people bitching that they couldn't steal Netflix, but then follow up by saying "Well it doesn't have anything good anyway!" Total nice-guy behavior. Get burned on something then criticize it even though you were the one seeking it. Makes you look dumb and pathetic
With cosmetics, like an established f2p game. The game in the beta was okay, characters cost coins and you earned them on a regular basis for just playing. Now you have a new currency just for fighters, everyone got a standard price of 3k (it was 1500/2000/3000 previously) and you don't get that currency for playing, you only earn like 100/200/300 tops for events or the bp
