My kids watched This video was on repeat for like one hour and i didnt get tired of it. They went there and worked realy hard to do the same as you did and I absolutely LOVE the results.
Forget seriousness. Forget rules. Forget fear. It's just paper and paint. You don't have to show anyone or hang it in a gallery. If you set aside your fears and just allow your brain a little freedom your brain chemistry actually changes and anxiety is reduced. If you don't like what you've created turn the page over and write your grocery list on it. No harm done. After all, it's just paper and paint.
After being unable to do "proper" art because of illness, you gave me permission to play and that is HUGE. I made SIXTEEN gorgeous pages of fun and embellishments! I LOVE them!!! Thank you, Andrea!
I refuse to acknowledge that there is such a thing as "proper" or "improper" art. This is legitimate art. . . If you arevdoing this. . . You are creating art. I believe they call people who create art artists 😉
Thank you, my daughter, a special Ed teacher, told me about you. I have just started to work in a nursing home in the Activity Dept. The idea of an arts and crafts project used to be crayons and a coloring book or a store bought toddler project . The residents are ages from about 60 to 95 years old and I want to kick it up a notch for them. Thanks for the great ideas!

I watch a lot of art/creator tutorials for a lot of complicated projects. I love those videos. I’ve slowly acquired a dragon’s horde of tools and supplies. I’ve saved many in fits of delirium thinking one day ONE DAY I’ll make it… These are great invitations to play with the supplies in a calming, low-stakes, and still creative way. Thanks for the welcome to those of us who think we have to be perfect right away at something or who treat our hobbies like a personal competition. It’s nice to just relax and enjoy. :)
My sister is soon retiring from a long career as a dental hygienist and will soon be the proud owner of the first Cat Cafe in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. If you have never heard of a Cat Cafe before it has a coffee shop and in another part they have a large area where people play, pet and have fun with the rescue kitty cats as they await their forever families. She will be having a monthly art day and what a wonderful idea you have given her. You are such a beautiful lady with a beautiful heart to help others make beautiful art! ❤❤❤

Hi, Doctor Kim. I listen to this again and I think my own,. I would say physical healing journey, but I think it's a healing journey. Is teaching me or at least showing me? Am I willing to trust the universe that it has my back? Am I willing to trust that and am I willing to trust myself? And that definitely does mean stopping, not just slowing down but like you said, surrendering. And willing to face the fears of surrendering and stopping and feeling..F.E.A.R. funnily enough, I did go back to go to bed about 7 30 last night with a black & white film I'd already watched and it really did soothe me into sleep. I was sleep halfway through whereas I was finding it really difficult to in the day To.. Just let it happen , I think that's my healing journey.Definitely

I have the same struggle with rainbows. When someone asks me what my favorite color is, I just say rainbow because I can’t pick and really the combination of a rainbow is just Superior to any single color.
I have always loved rainbows too! In Hawaii when I lived there I saw many many double rainbows! They are so bright there you are won’t believe it! It rains everyday. But it can be rain on your sidewalk and your neighbor next door is dry and sunny. They call it “ liquid sunshine!” Then there are rainbows everywhere. Sometimes 4 in one day. Seriously Hawaii. You are the best! I feel free to ask this dumb question: what IS an alternative to a rainbow? The only thing I came up with was the colors in and near the ocean. Like greens, blues, grays, sand color, turquoise, light blue, etc. Is that one too?
