Theres also a new trait we'll be wanting to breed for cause well its huge on the dps. Serenity. Active Skill cooldown +30%, Attack +10%. Speeding up attack skills could be a game changer especially on mounts.
So far as Ive seen, the meteors definitely have pre-set locations. They always drop in the same spot, near your current location, and the mob that spawns will always be the same depending on that location. That being said there are multiple locations for each area as well. While at the coal/ore mining base I've had several drop on the plains below where the Freepal camp spawn, as well as twice they spawned in the snow area near the Freepal tower itself. Each time it was 2 Xenovaders. Selyne always spawns on the new island, and the Xenogard says it can spawn on any of the newbie islands as well as the SE Volcano area, but so fat I have never seen a meteor strike drop while on the starter areas. Strangely, Xenogard is the only one that shows the spawn location in the Paldeck. Perhaps there are other ways to spawn him? Fun tip, the Meteor doesn't despawn, so after clearing the mobs, go stack up some Xenovaders to massively increase the amount of Meteor Fragments you can mine!
The meteors and supply drops are also marked on the map with a meteor icon whenever they happen, the icon remains as long as the event item is still around. So mining the meteor or gathering all the items out of the chest will clear the marker.
This is what I’ve had on the meteor strikes. Moon boss as you said obviously only spawns on the new island area, my xenogard came down over by Anubis in the desert area, and xenovader came down (during the day) over by the beakon boss. And with xenovader, at least for me anyway, two of them spawned. Not just one like the moon boss and xenogard.
@@thylabt6654 Electricity generation pals scale by a factor of 2x per level. So a level 2 will do twice the work of a level 1, a level three will do 4x the work, level 4 does 8x the work, and level 5 (4 star orzerk) does 16x the work of a level 1 pal. The new large power generator also stores more energy and the description suggests it has higher efficiency, which may just be that two pals can work on it together. There's also a new passive that makes pals work through the night, only stopping to eat or sit in the bath. So the single strongest pal for electricity generation depends if you sleep through the night or not and the length of the night in the server settings. If you sleep through the night all the time or the night is very short, then the best would be a 4 star Orzerk with Artisan, Work Slave, Serious, and Lucky. Otherwise, you want a 4 star Orzerk with Artisan, Work Slave, Serious, and Nocturnal. Helzephyr Lux gets an honorary mention, with it's innate dark typing allowing it to stay up all night without Nocturnal, but it falls short due to only having level 3 or 4 work suitability. You're getting an additional 15% work speed at the cost of 50% of the output. TL;DR - Bite the bullet, make a large space for your electricity generation, breed a bunch of worker Orzerk, then blend the worst ones to turn the best ones into 4 star pals.
One big generator and two 4 stars Ozarks; +10 soul nocturnal,serious,artistic,work slave. Is enough to power all six 24/7 (so strong the drain dosent ecen reach 50% even inbetween breaks.. And as always, dumud stew make a working pal happy.
@KoolScreen95 thanks! was interested to see how few pals you need I hadn't bred any particular stats but 2 normal ozerk 3 helzephyr lux and salads now seems to keep them at 50% until I get around to it
What spawns is based on the area the event happens in. Volcano Mt., Snow Mt., and Desert will give you the Boss Xenograd, starting areas and middle area give you Xenovander, new island gives you Selyne.
Also apparently the new pals can be found in eggs not just on the island so i imagine for a new play through finding a yakumo egg or two will be game changing :) also some breeding combis have apparently changed also because of the new pals!
This update keeps looking better and better. I like the new treasure chest pal, but mostly because I like platforming with neutral type team and opening chest is just a new thing the team can do at the expense of Cremis. I also want to say Pal Professor is a great companion Palworld channel to this one. Less deep dives more 1 minute here is a thing you can do videos.
I recommend taking a maxed out Anubis to the oil rig I have done it a few time and he almost died only one time, a lyleeen could also be usful for healing with gobfins
Pretty sad that the Yakumo cant sync all the passives, it would have been a nice way to bridge the gap onto self-breed pals. Imo its just to force Philanthropist on pals rather than waiting for it during a mutation. You get a 24% chance for 3* and a 30% chance for 4* so its probably not worth taking past 2-3 stars. RE meteors: I think its area level based. I ended up spawning in Xenovaders, but only when the meteor dropped in low level areas; the one I had was by the old mountain ore base as well. I've seen a XGuard spawn in the Dunes so I would assume the frozen area, dunes and volcano get Guard. Edit: The meteor logic looks to spawn the thing nearby the player whenever the event rolls (likely a real clock timer) so it makes sense that once we migrate to the new island most of the spawns will be there, likewise you probably got your volcano spawn while working at your new oil base. I was in the process of deconstructing my ore site when the meteor fell so that's why I was over there. Thanks for the Oil Rig showcase. I swung over and got melted so back peddled and haven't been back. I might just need to take another swing. Edit: I cant confirm it yet but apparently someone got 4 extractors on a node. same process but using the corner not the center of the extractor. Going to have to test it now.
@@FanaticPope seeing some reports of meteors being on a 3 hour timer. I'm sure with the amount of footage you have you can confirm this. either way this is an exciting time for testing new stuff.
Xenovader day/night by original mining base in the center-ish of map near the campsite with Mossandas/Beegards. Have only seen Xwnovader so far, but be careful as Beegarde’s have killed 3/8 of mine because they immediately fight before I can even get there sometimes
Just fly in over the oil rig, the lasers can't fire over about 45 degrees vertically, so a a certain elevation, they won't pan high enough to hit you (and it really isn't even that high you need to be).
I can still see Yakomo or whatever being helpful, just not as helpful as you were hoping. Because you did get a higher concentration than random chance would dictate. I think it's probably like with maxing out your chickens. You can get 4 or 6 eggs, whatever the max is. But it's not you will get that many, you may get that many. Something along those lines. I'm also thinking it has to be a passive that is possible on the pal in the wild. But, I'm merely guessing.
also use a water pal like jormintide to cross to the oil rig and noone shoots at you i have also died on the rig, respawned near by and was attacked by this mob while in my base, in the marshland near by. they might chase us like when you attack a civilian
Im curious to see if having yakumo with two desired passives yields more pals with those two desired traits. Kinda like how it's better to breed a pal with desired traits A and B with something that has desired traits C and D
I think it is better for new base pals which are farmable in world map as they constantly buff old pal into new role. Probably one working yakumo with noct/artisan/workspace/serious and one with san/hunger reduction/noct
My encounters so far in 2 days. Xenogard - Fisherman Port (SE Volcano Area) Night time Xenovader - Paladius/Necromus TP Daytime, the famous Coal/Ore Base that everyone has Daytime, Small Cove TP North of Sweepa Day time. Selyne - Mushroom Wetlands Daytime.
Instead of wasting bullets I preffer to ride Mossanda Lux and use its granade launcher. You can reach the oil rig with a max damage jetdragon( no swift or runner) , just fligh higher then glide, if you hit the water summon a pal that fly/ride in the water, like Shadowbeak. If you fly out of the water the laser will hit ya.
With these elixirs if you drink them then mind wipe does your character store them as free points or do you loose them and need to re drink for the extra points after max level?
@@johnhamilton6768 I personally can confirm after taking an attack elixir, and using a mind wipe, I kept the stat points, they showed up in parentheses as a yellow +4 next to the stat
I'm trying to use him for mounts with the latest +50% Stamina! I got the one you dont have up in a base I have in the green area under the frostallion area at night!
I'm so pissed that the first Yakumo I spotted in the wild was a shiny and his cohorts accidentally killed him because he kept breaking out my legendary spheres.
In regards to the one you don't have, I got them during the day in the area where the lavender like plants are in that one patch. The meteoroid fell as soon as I moved my pal box from there to move it.
Might be late to the party, but if you just fly out, and when the lasers start, hop off and swim by yourself, they’ll won’t shoot at you at all. You can hop back on, fly, rinse repeat.
So I've just reolled a meteor about 8 times on the bottom of the volcano next to the fisherman's point village and finally got Xenovader during the day 100%. I have an Xbox clip recorded in case proof is needed
Can confirm at my quartz base south from lyleen noct litterally right out side it 2 meteors hit 1st was little pink dudes second was xeno vader! So glad for mercy hit and ring lol!
I found my Xenovader during the day. It was kind over by the alpha Gumoss . Though, I could be misremembering. I think it was day, but it may have been evening. It was not night, but it may have been in that inbetween time when day pals haven't go to bet yet, but night pals start spawning. I can't say for sure. And it was in my new world I got him at like lvl 15 or 18. So they spawn in around your lvl best as I can tell. That, or where they land may dictate their lvl. I'm not sure. Though, I'm pretty sure it was during the day. and actually, it was not over by alpha Gumoss. That's where I was when it came, but it laded in the bamboo grove I think. I had to cross some water to get to it.
@@FanaticPope Actually, I bagged a second one, bamboo grove again. And it was for sure in the the twilight. That in between time. So you maybe be right, they may only spawn at night.
The weapons in this update are a lil disappointing imo...i havent gotten any epic or legendary ones yet so maybe that will change my mind, but i have epic rocket launcher and AR and they do more dmg and are easier to hit targets w/ than the new weapons...the upgraded versions are probably awesome but i was mad pressed to try them and it was a huge letdown bc i figured they would undoubtedly make the older weapons obsolete and thats not really the case so far
I did a fresh start just to test things up: A few notes -- i found this rank 1 ring in a trash on beach , so you dont have to kill anything to obtain it. Also Xenogard i had a spawn in winter area (north one), so its not only vulcano. Xenovader however seems to be a lower lvl version of it and i had it spawn north west pass the water from chillet boss spawn (meteor drop). Its lvl 20, but managed to capture it as lvl 7 pal trainer no problem. I will see if its possible to find a Yakumo egg on new island tho. Its very easy to steal eggs with basic flying mount if you dont fly to close.
@@FanaticPope ah that’s a bit of a let down. However, I just saw a post on Reddit where this can really speed up getting 2/3 desired perks on catching an Alpha Legendary, like Jetragon with Ferocious and Musclehead (as well as legend and divine dragon, which it comes with when caught) in 5 catches, with already decentish IV, don’t need to level it much to max it, this could really help speed things up for those trying to breed 20+ perfect for Bellanoir Libero fight etc. Fully condensed Yakumo gives each perk a 30% chance to drop onto the caught Pal.
So, what is better for power generation? An Attack build Orsurk or a Work Speed Orsurk? Does anyone know because these oil extractors take a lot of power.
@@dorelie9354 I normally sleep through the night, so that's not too much of a concern for me. I only ask because I've seen conflicting opinions all over. Fanatic usually tests it out, so I was hopeful he might know.
They BADLY need to change how you get the meteor pals. Your game needs to be open the entire 2 to 3 hours for the events to happen which makes it impossible for me to get
@@FanaticPope yeah, I just went with Azurlobe because she's the fastest swimmer, and the only one I'd tried. Wasn't 100% sure there weren't any that were too tall or something.
