hey z to make maths a bit easier Coffee Stain did add a in game calculator if you press n (default key) and you can press o (default key) to look and all the in and out per min

that little doggo by your base is a treasure trove of stuff. With a berry you can tame him and build him a little dog house he can't escape. Every 20 minutes he'll give you a random item. He has been buffed, now there is a chance he'll give you any item in the game. You can unlock anything in the MAM with just one doggo. Also, Love your vids BTW.

Hello. Just wanted to say that I love your videos. I've got a private server that me and two of my friends used to play on. We started so long ago, but we had a rule to not look anything up so that we would have fun struggling to figure everything out. We all had our specializations and would rely on each other for different aspects of the game. It was a blast. I can not imagine having comments trying to correct our gameplay. Good luck with everything. I've personally learned a few new things just watching your gameplay. I was unaware that fluid buffers are just basically water batteries. Have fun and try not to stress over the comments.

A good tip on piping water for the coal, turn off the generators and let the pipes fill with water until the gauges stop moving them turn them on. They try to use more water than are in the pipes when first built.

Use the pump as a valve, they only allow fluid in one direction and blocks the flowback from the second waterpump connection to the pipesystem

The Caterium tech tree in the MAM has mk2 and mk3 power poles. Once you find some as chunks and research it you’re able to scan for ore veins.

Thoughts about a road between each factory/production area? Might get a little expensive though, UNLESS, you consider getting concrete foundations instead. Much cheaper and you don't use concrete for too much at the moment

When using the build gun try pressing h to lock the hologram so you can move around it to see if its lined up before clicking the second time to place.

word of advice for z1 gaming the water extractors can only handle 2.5 coal gens each, so for 8 coal gens you need 4 water extractors to not run out of water. hope this helps anyone wondering how many water extractors to coal gens you need.

If you are finding that your setup need 4 water pumps for 8 miners instead of 3, your actual bottleneck is probably where you are inserting the lines and the pipe capacity with flow mechanics

@@matt1da1mage the problem is that although the flow rate of one water exractor says it can handle three coal gens at the default production rate it can only produce 120 cubic meters per min, while a coal gen uses 45 cubic meters of water per min so in reality a single water extractor with no lift head can only support 2.67 coal gens. so the way the game works with three coal gens to one water extractor you will slowly run out of water on the end coal gens causing them to stop and start like z1 gamings coal gens were doing.

3 water extractors are enough for 8 coal gens. Mine always run fine, you just have to make sure you split where the water extracters are on the main line. Since the pipe can only handle 300 in one section. The coal gens need to be powered off at first to fully saturate the line, the way fluid works in this game you only get full pressure if the line is completely full.

Z, when I set up coal power I use 4 water extractors, 1 per 2 coal gens then under lock em to 90ea. And keep the pipe networks separate The other good thing about this 4 water extractors side by side is almost the same width as 8 coal gens side by side

M 3rd means 'Cubic Meters'! It's metic measurement of the volume of liquids! The game doesn't use U.S. measurements like gallons!

You know what would be cool is if there was some sort of base defense part of this game where you would have to put a base flag down before you could build and every so often there would be a wave of local wildlife that would attack the base and the flag

Fluids behave oddly at times. You might have to do something funky at the end of the pipes so pressure rebound doesn't stall the last item at the end of the line. Some digging around could help.

just some info for ya, 3 water pumps can only provide enough water for 6 coal generators. Anymore than that and you'll have power issues. Also, did you use Mk.2 Conveyor lifts or Mk.1? I couldn't tell. sorry!

Z1: Really wish we had a vehicle of some kind. *ignores unlocking Vehicular Transportation* Do like what you're here, though, but like I've seen other people say, SLOW DOWN and think through what you're doing. We're going to be okay if you take 20 seconds to think before you take action and do something you're just going to have to undo later.
