A problem with a lot of people that are claimed to have gone to class don't realize some things: Their classes are theoretical (there's a reason we do labs in univerisity) and that airsoft is very loose when it comes to tolerances and specs (just look at MAXX and their hop up with such tight tolerances). Plus your battery video checks out, you basically experimented and found a correlation between the battery voltages and thermal efficiency, where 11.1v is the least thermal efficient.

I've only ever cut two springs in my 7 years of airsoft because there is almost NEVER a need to. When l have I've done just that, cut it like not eve two coils I've never heated it because that'd fuck the spring. I only cut them when one spring isn't giving the power l want and the next spring up is too powerful, which surprisingly is almost never an issue. Also cut end is supposed to go into the piston otherwise it starts making angry crunchy noises and power is all over the place. Any Negative Airsoft will probably tell me to now go wank a puffin or something, a compliment coming from him imo, but l still ain't gonna act like l know more than he does because he has definitely been doing this longer than l have.
There's no reason for a person to NOT cut a spring in their own gun or even for a site tech to do a snip to get somebody in the game, but when a pro shop does it & the AEG is this quick of a spring change, that's where it's a joke.

To answer the "why would you cut the gearbox for a titan" I've personally had to do the same on my Cyma Platinum, the reasoning why is because of how the safety lever is just up. if it is not modified the gearbox will put pressure on the titan and crack the lower corner.
I used to make myself sick every maths lesson! Hated it but had to learn how to do books and engineering and other wizardry with numbers but it's still not maths to me. Well done for explaining stuff in a simple logical manner. I'm an airsoft tech god now 😂

Congrats on the weight loss. I'm reassured by this video. No matter what I've just done to my AK-74 replica --- it's nowhere near as bad as this. And that thing was bodged back together using random o-rings and rubber pads from the shed and sounds like a bag of nails. The difference, of course, being that someone, somewhere paid good honest money for this original work while -- well - all that monstrosity cost me was time and the chance of a fire. I might've been dissapointed if I'd paid for it.

Body .... lots of money in it dude .... I had a Crappy Cyma M14 on my table ...whouldnt recommand the M14 Series to somebody now... the Shell is so thin that it breaks oOB at the front...
Please tell me there was a long cut when you took the 2 teeth off the piston rack. So many techs make it out as if doing it "will take bloody ages to get right", and you literally took 5 seconds and did it better than 99% i've seen.

I'd like to say to anyone claiming luke manufactured this work himself, you're talking shite. Its my gun, i got it brand new and 'upgraded ' 😂 by the same shop so this result is their work. Now ive seen the work they did for myself, i may pay them a visit.

@@sokolov26 unfortunately I don't want to name them on lukes platform as it could have ramifications for him and I've no platform of my own either. What I will say is, having purchased many guns from various suppliers, sometimes having upgrades done by so called in house techs, don't bother! They've all ended up being sub par for the costs or badly done and ended up on lukes desk, several causing him near breakdowns with videos to prove. My advice, buy gun, send to luke, have reliable working gun, happy airsofter.

On that corner of the gearbox that was hacked away. I installed a perun with a clicker into the same type of cyma gearbox recently. The safety lever protudes into the gearbox and you cant close it properly. Nothing about 1min of dremel work with a propper dremel bit wont fix. But i like this version better fits in with the theme better 😂
Man if I had some spare cash I’d love to have this guy work on my ICS L85, it shoots straight but loud and whiny as fuck. I’m not about to mess around with the gearbox in fear of fucking it up 😂

I got 2 warhead at 2 different times and 2 different kinds. Got the black gen 1 and the copper lookin basic gen 1. Both got sent in for broken tabs and both got replaced with Sturdy actual tabs. Not that flimsy short wire bs
I cut the gearbox of a CYMA MP5/10 to fit a Titan. Everything but the safety switch works. Safety is electronically controlled. I hate it. Perun Hybrid v2 is it, and a clicker.
Hey Gordon, just wanted to say thanks I've been watching a lot of your videos and I managed to do a job turning an aps uar into a half way decent job. You would probably love the dremel job I did to see my pinion-gear connection.
I'm one of the dickheads but I edit my comments to add more stuff to them or fix spelling mistakes since english isn't my first language. Usually add "edit:" when I add a bunch more text. Cyma gearbox needs to be grinded down on the inside where the safety lever sits tho it only needs to be done for Perun Clicker and Gate Titan (and from the inside). The way the guy that previously worked on it did it is a nasty shortcut, a crime. I love working on Cyma stuff. I also love recommending it to everyone. 2nd place is taken by E&C, love those too. Cyma even added a screw for adjusting the trigger travel to the gearbox, Cyma Noveske N4 has it and it's really easy to get Perun Clicker to be at the wall with stock trigger.

Hi mate, i have a problem. following your advice I bought the hop up g&g camera but it doesn't fit in my asg. does not draw the bbs especially when the magazine is full (I use pts epm magazines). the asg is a mk18 vfc mod1 with prometheus bc bright inner barrel. I tried with different rubbers and nub (maple leaf omega nub + super macaron 70…. classic rubber + classic nub). The nozzle is polymer. my doubt is that the g&g hop up chamber comes without an external spring. can this be it? A thousand thanks.
I really enjoy your videos, have learned a lot from them, of what to do and not to do, and it has improved my airsoft skills. I do somethings I have no idea why it works but what works... works. Hey do you glue your bearings/ bushing in ? I've always cleaned everything with isopropyl and then little dab of super glue to the sides of the bearing and then regrease everything accordingly now many people over grease they just gob it in there and make a mess.
If I would of done some shit like this my gears would of got hung up my mosfet would of be broke and my piston rack would be busted 🤣🤣 how do people pull this kind of shit off and actually get it to fire
Luke can you help me please? My brand new CYMA cm041j mp5k shit its pants. Took it apart and the piston is fucked the top and bottom of the guid is wavey as the fucking ocian in the middle of the cunting north sea. The gearbox casing is realy sharp what can i do?
Yes i did and thank you for your reply i have a new piston and piston head everythings ready but how the hell do you keep the fucking anti reversal latch from moving while holding the main spring down for assembely. You make it look easy. Love your shit man you got me into airsoft and learned how to take shit apart.

The runners on the casing was realy sharp so i filled them down got new piston and double o ring piston head running 7.4v lipo i'l let you know the outcome. Do techs not realise expect for you luke that the cyma platinum piston teeth has it back end shaved down from factory by half and other companies are starting to do it too so taking teeth off if the paiton rack is pointless
@NegativeAirsoftTech aye the cyma silent piston rack they use have nock off half of the back pick up teeth to correct the angle so for that shs one is completely pointless as if the so called tech that did it before you would have notice it and won't change it.
@NegativeAirsoftTech Might have had a chance if you short stroked to 2 teeth and used a MS210 spring. Would have made for a nice vibrator. 👍 The 15.2v actually is working, T238 motor/mosfet (resoldered to 16AWG wire) semi only SR25 19tooth.
