"She's a fine ship...but she's got the right name. Now you remember that, boy. You treat her like a lady...an she'll always bring ya home..."- Admiral Leonard H. McCoy, "Encounter at Farpoint"
You prolly dont care but if you are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all of the latest series on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my gf during the lockdown :)
I believe the "Enterprise-B concept" was actually the Enterprise-C concept, since it was based on the sculpture seen on the back wall of the Enterprise-D briefing room in TNG. It's also been added to Star Trek Online as the Narendra-class.
In the briefing room wall onTNG, the Enterprise B was represented as a regular Excelsior class ,(1987) the Enterprise B we know of wasn't designed until 1994.That concept B looked more like the concept Ambassodor class NCC-1701-C. not used because of cost to build that model.
5 minutes of various star ships flying the same pattern, with no dialogue or story, has done more to capture the imagination and spirit of what Star Trek is about than full seasons of Discovery and Picard. Amazing work, please keep it up!! The fans need more of this sort of thing!!
I'm not a fan, personally. Looks like they tried to make a Sovereign without making a Sovereign. Same elements combined in a less aesthetically pleasing package.
I like your animation of the Enterprise-J "Universe Class" better than what it looks like in Star Trek Online. Your animation shows it as shorter but it's a bit more thick, the deck levels under the saucer aren't paper thin, and the nacelles are thicker as well. I like it on STO but it's a bit too thin for my tastes, you did a great job with the other ships too.
I agree it was good to see spencer enterprise it better looking then enterprise d. His hybrid Design of the combine Excelsior and refit enterprise look so damn good
Really nice designs you guys! Well done! The Starship Enterprise is such a beautifully designed ship in any version I believe! A lot nicer looking than some of those crazy-looking UFOs that we are seeing more of these days! Some of those Extraterrestrial folks need lessons in aesthetically pleasing design parameters I think!
Alfabia JS 2.64K subscribers I love all the starships named Enterprise. My Number #1 Favorite ship named Enterprise would have to be the Enterprise NX-01 NX Class from "Star Trek: Enterprise" (2001-2004).
love the IXS Enterprise - very much what u would imagine our first steps in warp travel could end up looking like. some wonderful ships all worthy of the name Enterprise
I think that design was created by Nasa as what an Alcubierre Drive ship might look like. Though so far all we have on that front is "if you could make these effects happen, you'd go at warp speed", but no idea how to make those effects happen.
I also really love the reimagined U.S.S. Enterprise design at 2:32, personally I think it's what the Kelvin Timeline Enterprise should've been, it still has that Kelvin style deflector and kind of still on the bassard collectors but the nacelles still look like the TOS Enterprise which for me is great. I also love the glass looking observation deck on the underside of the saucer or at least that's what I think it is.
"All fine lasses. All worthy of the name., Enterprise. Including 1701-A ,phase 2, and refit NX-01."( By the way the star liner ' the one with the big ring , neck and long horizontal extention, was really an early concept for the TOS Enterprise.)
There's a beautiful piece of artwork in the 'Star Trek: Ships of the Line' artbook(itself a compilation of works from the calendar series) which shows the OV-101 Enterprise being towed by a WorkBee to join it's descendants(or replicas of said ships) in an orbital museum; the little orbiter that never actually made it into space finally gets to join it's family.... :)
I like the TOS re imagined ships and Phase II. Honorable mentions Enterprise-A from ST 6 and Spencer Enterprise-A. And last but not least the concept Enterprise-B.
I was in high school and took part in that mail in campaign to NASA have the first space shuttle renamed Enterprise. How disappointed we where to find out she'd never actually go into space :/
The Space Shuttle "Enterprise" OV-101 cannot be classed as a starship because she was only a test vehicle to ascertain the orbiter series flight and glide characteristics. She was never designed nor intended to go into space.
Nice CGI but, the Space Shuttle Enterprise NEVER mad it in to outer space. It flew to study the aerodynamics to see if any modifications needed to be made.
Nice on having the NX-01 as the refit. Also cool seeing Gabriel Koerner's Enterprise. I have always liked Gabe's design. The one at 3:11 ....never been a fan of that design. Also never cared for that he says his design is "THE" Enterprise-A (official). Nope it's not...just a fan design don't try to say your fan made design is the official version of the Enterprise-A. 3:32....was about to mention that until I saw you realized the error. The original Enterprise-B was supposed to be just a regular Excelsior and not the refit we saw in Generations. The Enterprise-F at 3:53 is an OK design but to ME it's just a copy and bloated version of the Enterprise-E.
I'm not a fan of Trek. However, I appreciate greatly the amount of work you have put into this. It is superb. Psst… but do me a favor. Do a few re-imagined Eagles from Space: 1999! ;-)
A couple of things. 1st: for some odd reason, the deflector on the 2nd Reimagined Enterprise was dark. Almost couldn't see it. 2nd: several Enterprises were skipped over. The Excelsior Class Enterprise, the Ambasador Class Enterprise, the Galaxy Class Enterprise, and the Sovereign Class Enterprise.
This is his second ships named Enterprise video. Those ships were in the first one. The one that has been missed is the three engine one from All Good Things.
I'm impressed that there are so many variations on a theme for the 1701, some looking so similar, one wonders why, but methinks, whilst including the variations, did you miss out the variation of the 1701-D from 'all good things', or did I simply miss it? Excellent renders, thanks for your work. LLAP
That was FRACKING AWESOME ! Can you do a segment where you showcase the other class of starships in the same fly by format ? (2 September 2018 0544 hours)
Really hoping that a Chris Madden Dedication Class would be an Enterprise. That's how I see it. The Enterprise E, end of the Sovereign and then the Dedication, going back to the classic Connie look as the next Enterprise. The Enterprise H maybe? Just my two cents, but I like the Dedication class more than what they chose. Then again I like the NX, Connie, Connie Refit, Galaxy and Sovereign. Not a fan of the NX class Refit, or the Ambassador class, or the Excelsior class B.....
You forget the B,C and bloody D! When it comes to the original 1701, leave it alone for my taste, but the concept version would have made a great 1701 B! (0.02$)
Hey, I'm not sure where to get the USS Enterprise NCC 1701-F from STO. Do you have to download a pack for it or do you search for the model? And how did you get the model from the game? Great videos as always!
the 1701-F....i REALLY liked the idea of the bottom/hull being shaped like an actual sailing ship! early on there's an Enterprise 'battle'-ship without photon holes---what's up with that? hahaha And, altho i watch the new show Discovery, i'll admit it's from boredom, not appeal. can we have a Trek series that continues...you know, towards the future? i guess what pisses me off more than anything, is Discovery (like all the recent incarnations) goes in the Trek's past, but somehow the ships/stories all portray a MUCH more advanced technology than the original. sure, you can't have props made from cardboard and christmas lights anymore, but holograms on the bridge, spore-drives, trans-species genetic re-engineering??? there's just waaaaay too much of that shit to simply shrug off as "well, this was all secret, behind-the-scenes' stuff going on outside the 'known' info within starfleet. really?? All of this new tech would be fantastic....if it were being told via a ST series set in the 27th century. c'mon Paramount, you really suck. or is it Disney who owns the franchise now?
I got a problem with this video, like the Electric car commercial with using Jetson's theme, calling his dog Ellroy in which this video shows all models going through the same route, hardly no detail, and study lighting please. First shuttle Enterprise DID not go into deep space, and all the other ships we'll show them orbiting planets, leaving Star Fleet space stations, Redo it show different angles. The music is good...Oh yeah I really still do not like JJ Abrams Enterprise, the Warp Nacells still looks like as the Handle Bars from 1966 SEARS Stingray Bike....🚲 And for your first video of different models of the Enterprise that your doing the same technique as your using this video...
The shuttle Enterprise is depicted incorrectly. Not only was she not spaceflight capable, but the paint scheme and appearance of Enterprise is not like that of the flight orbiters. Good job, overall.
Alfabia JS, there was a Star Trek novel that I once read (the title escapes me) where they made the Space Shuttle Enterprise space-worthy, so your depiction could be considered proper...
@@patriotastronomer5113 I think the title is A Flag Full of Stars and it took place a few months before Star Trek: The Motion Picture. When I build the Space Shuttle Enterprise Model Kit, it will be the one with the boosters, fuel tank and launch pad.
