How do you like the Heartbeat 10s? I'm thinking of suggesting them to my church.

They are very nice cymbals man! I’d really recommend them for smaller sized rooms as they are drier and trashier in sound, and therefore not as harsh and ‘loud.’ They are also “paper-thin” in feel so they hit nicely. In terms of sound, I’d say they are similar to that of Meinl Byzance Extra Dry Crashes, Istanbul Agop Dry Dark Crashes, and Meinl Byzance Vintage Crashes.

And I see you're rocking the 24" epic ride instead of the 10. Any specific reason for that? I've been playing the Zildjian 24" light ride my whole life, so I feel like that is similar to the epics. @@gyron.e

Oh our 24” 10 Ride was cracked so we’ve been using the Epic for a good bit. The 24” 10 Ride is very light for a crash-ride. IMO, even though Zildjian markets their Light Ride as “light”, they are still on the heavier side for my taste. Also, based on my experience of Zildjian’s Light Ride, they are a lot brighter than the Epics. The Epics have a darker sound to them, yet they still have good crashability, great feel, and cuts trough the mix very well.

@@gyron.e That's cool. I have this old Ludwig Supraphonic I'm gonna fix up, and I was trying to decide what heads I wanted to use. So I think ima give the p77 and hazy ambassador a try.

The ending was pretty much straightforward and ended with chorus & tags. We did not do the whole song with the spontaneous moments, since that would stretch the time period of each service. Plus, I did not wanna stretch the end this video with me sitting 😆
