I don't keep up on the podcast as much as I should so the introduction of the phrase "my brain does not function like many other popular brains you might be aware of" is very good

coming back to this three months later because i suddenly remembered travis saying “i’m not on trial” and storming out of a lecture hall and i had the immediate need to once again see travis lose his mind over animals with abs with my own eyes thank you for your service it’s one of my favorite animated bits

3:59 - 4:13 is pure art, not even joking, no hyperbole; that's the kind of long, slowly moving, densely textured yet harmonic juxtaposation of media, actors, and even sets I'd expect from either an obscure arthouse film form 1960s Czechoslovakian Nová Vlna (looking at you, Sedmikrasky, Case for a Rookie Hangman, etc), OR a full-blown anmated classic like Paprika or Mind Game. Absolutely wowed here. Really sad it's incomplete, and that probably the bit with the projector wasn't really as important as it seems to me should've been.... I need to be alone for a minute.

Oh my God, the vertical parallax on the rows of seats at 4:18 is just so damn tasty.

The abnimals bit killed me (travis the madman is so good) I cannot wait for the finished product!

These are wonderful they're so expressive, i've noticed that the mcelroys become especially mcelroyish when animated
