This video features the S & B class Bulldog nosed E.M.D diesels of the Victorian Railways on passenger and freight trains, taken in 1990 on broadcast quality Betacam SP tape
Love watching these old videos, the v/line locos bring back memories of seeing grain trains go through Yarrawonga and Tungamah when I was little. Be nice to see footage of trains on the Cobram line. The only footage I can find is on trainz railway simulator. Dookie line would be good too.
Everytime I hear your theme music I have urge to crack open a VB. Love your vids. How good are the old EMDs Always make me think of the old Triang transcontinental loco with the double ends
Yeah either that or a Marlboro; I can't work it out. I can almost hear John Meillon - "Matter of fact!... I got it Nowwwwwwwwww" ........... What the hell I'll have both - which is saying something since I don't drink or smoke.
Thank you for sharing your awesome content! I am a geography student currently studying Australia. Your footage has been tremendously helpful in learning the land! It's crazy how similar Australian and North American railroads are. Thank you and godspeed, you have a new sub and fan. Can't wait to see more!
Another value video, thank you very much John. I see B65 has lost its cast iron side plates "B65" with painted ones substituted in most of the videos viewed. Put the icing on the cake and post some classic Tait and Harris set video's. I remember Jeff Hook's cartoons in the paper and he done good Tait sketches and then you find his "hook"...Dave
@@johnphillips592 Just had a quick look and I've discovered some big in my archive system. Unfortunately my 1990 seems to be in that gap, unless I put it in some other location.
@@johnphillips592 @@johnphillips592 look up the Ontario southland railroad because they also use vintage diesels and it's the only one still using f units in freight service in North america, erie mining company also ran an abbbba lashup and after the mine and railroad closed some of the units we're later preserved.
Brilliant videos John - you seem very professional in your craft! - Do you remember what camera you used - make and model? Seems to be a professional one - thanks Shelton
