I’ve been out a few times this year at James a reed and have not found any but I’m also new to the area so hopefully I can run into a few decent spots before they are gone. Also watching from Lee summit!
I've never done James A Reed I'm sure that you can find them somewhere out there. Lake Jacomo is a good place. Good luck and keep looking. The rain will help them.
This is so cool my dad’s a conservation Agent right where you are & I live in Independence too. I moved back during the pandemic been in California and North Carolina girl ever since I left here, but I remembered recently how good these were and began looking! 💪
I've only tried a bit of hunting morels at Lake of The Ozarks. I'd love to have more opportunities to snag, fish, and mushroom hunt down there. I'm lucky to make it one day a year to Lake of The Ozarks.
Definitely need rain to find quantity. Occasionally, you can find low areas that hold moisture and get a lot without rain. When it rains a lot, they seem to grow everywhere. Thanks for watching
