Great review and great job of lighting to and camera work to truly show off this deck. Honestly, I like it better in your review than in my hands. It is beautiful for sure. I’ve been trying to decide if the silver ink encroaches too much into some of the artwork, but once again, Lotrek raises the bar.

Keep an eye out. I am sure some Players will come up for sale soon. Also, keep an eye out for a hot foil wonder deck in this design from Lotrek. He said that is still to come, so that should be stunning (and unfortunately a price to match). I do see a few on eBay for $50, but hopefully you can get one cheaper.

Awesome cards but a little irony that a deck featuring Islamic art would include faces on the court cards.

Did a bit of a search on Moors in Spain at this time and didn’t see any indication that head coverings were common at all there. Most of the artwork of females depicts them with head coverings (much like the men) but with their faces fully visible.

I haven’t studied the Moores but I think many branches of Islam restrict artwork that shows faces. This is why a lot of Islamic art is very geometric. I don’t know how the restrictions work because there is some Islamic art that shows faces. Maybe it varies depending on the era or specific branch of Islam.

I will have to wait for my players decks, so nice to see the review. I did get an uncut tuck, so I was able to enjoy the art on the sheet. This does look like a nice refinement of Arabesque, which is one of my favorite designs by Lotrek. Thanks for the super review. I really like the more subtle shading on the faces. That was a definite improvement. The metallic ink is also amazing. Lotrek has said that the handling will just keep getting better. I think he wants the handling of his decks to improve until he can beat any card producer. Cus, you know, Lotrek doesn't like being second in anything.
