Afterglow is defined as good feelings remaining after a pleasurable experience. Going to concerts and hearing my favorite songs live is one of the best feelings in the world. Every time I come home from a concert, I have a boost of creativity and so many new ideas and inspirations for my music. "Afterglow" is the perfect word describing the experiences that inspired this EDM album. Afterglow is also defined as light remaining in the sky after the sun has set. I wanted the album to represent afterglows visually and sonically, so I chose a sunset aesthetic and intentionally crafted the sonic/tonal journey from the first song to the last. When you listen to Afterglow, I want it to feel like you're watching a sunset. The beginning of the album sounds bright, upbeat, fun, and happy, with elements of pop. Afterglow, the title track, is placed in the middle of the album to represent the definition as the last light before nighttime. In the context of the album, it's the last upbeat, happy song. The end of the album signifies night approaching, so the songs are more serious, moody, and darker. They dive deeper into the aggressive and bass-driven sides of house music. Titling the last song on the album "In The Dark" symbolizes the darkness now that night has come, and the afterglow is gone. This is my second album, and I wanted to try something unique by creating an album that is visually and instrumentally connected. Even though producing is just a hobby for me, and I only make music that excites and interests me, I believe that Afterglow has something for everyone to enjoy!
