Amazing and unbelievable but Morgoth's Eternal Fall and Resurrection Absurd are the best pieces of death metal that ever came out of Germany. Over 30 years of total domination! And Marc's growling is absolute madness.
Very true Morgoth were the very esssence of death metal .it is like you are expireiencing funeral atmosphere and procession of people going to cemetery....
I posted above if you wanna hear more... but im right there with you brother. Saw em march on the same year, the day before my bday in march, in the u.s. with kreator. Blew me away. It was within my first couple shows ever, and it stuck with me until today. I, too, will never ever forget the early days of metal. When we found out about bands magaizines, word of mouth, shows, and, at least for me, by seeing what band shirts they wore within the inside jacket photos in their albums cds and tapes! Lol. I so miss it

Saw them the same year with Kreator, in Allentown Prnnsylvania, U.S. ... they started by screaming with reverb on the mic, saying "Hello ALLENTOWN (allentown allentown echo), are you ready for some DEATH METAL (metal metal reverb echo)".... then the whole stage started to rumble with thunder as they blasted into the set. I was 14 going on 15. And i was immedeately HOOKED. stillllll put their early work on my playlists today. FEMALE INFANTICIDE!!!

Don't Know what subgenre of Death Metal Morgoth were considered, but I hear a lot of what was to become the Deeds of Flesh style in their music, and early Deeds of Flesh were considered Brutal Death Metal. When I put on Morgoth I never think that it needs to be Heavier or more Brutal. Morgoth does it for me just as much as Cephalatripsy , and Suffocation do. It's not like listening to Arch Enemy where I miss that devastating Heaviness. I think Morgoth is as Heavy as any of the old school Death Metal, and better than much of the early So called classics. Grave, Unleashed ( first 3 albums) , Death ( pre Human) , Pestilence, Immolation, Obituary , and Incantation- Onward To Golgotha besides Morgoth are just simply better than bands like Bloodbath, and Fleshcrawl
Always thought that they sound like Death. If Death would have stayed on the Scream Bloody Gore style, their later material would have probably been more Morgoth, and less Cynic
Death Metal in its Golden Age... is too corious that this happen in 1990, very very old stuff, excellent quality and atmosphere. Is this a kind of festival like the Neurotic Fest that happened in Tilburg for some Years? Which other bands played on that date? Very corious too that if you look the headbanging of the band and the fans looks little bit faster than normal, haha, is the video itself or the rampat attitude of the young people in those days?
