Great song. The video is ok. Overall, it isn't memorable. It's not going to be shared by people extensively. For that you need something more. I cannot tell you what that more is, but I can assure you that the song will 'carry the weight' of whatever it will be, if and when you discover it. You've got that transcendent sound, but the sound alone is only one hand in the equation. I'm sure you're able to envision something universal, organically transcendent -- there's a hint of it here -- but it doesn't launch. The opening, with vehicle lights approaching closer from a distance while you're running toward us -- that's fairly solid. You on the piano is so, so -- the dingy, rusty, hazy lighting is a bit of a non-starter. It's neither here nor there. If the theme progressed from darkness to light, leaving the haze behind, perhaps it could work. If you were running throughout, but scenes changed by elevating to more transcendent settings, involving varied scenarios of danger -- this could be engaging. You're a passionate guy, I can see that clearly by the closed eyes and smile you share while putting your hands together. Bringing the left and right together is powerful symbolism, but I feel you've overused it in this video which takes away from the impact it could have. Too blatant in your portrayel perhaps, and not esoteric enough -- Lucifer took a risk when he left home. You on the piano in brief cuts could be great (maybe the camera can slowly circle you as the video progresses and the light increases for a full revolution). I'm not so sure about standing and smiling, at least in the context of this video. The message is hopeful for sure, it's inspiring. But it's serious. This is about carrying the weight. The fall is always a bummer. But the return back unto that original absolute, requires everything we are. All-in dedication, without a hint of doubt. If you go back to the drawing board, and execute this video in a way that when you watch it objectively, you can say it's half a billion view worthy, you might then be on to something. Think hybrid. Think animation. Think magnification of object-symbolism. Think heaven. Think hell. It's kinda about you. But it's really about us. For what it's worth, keep those hands together and your sound will eventually inspire us to carry the weight . . . ~A~
