Morissette was only 14 when she was in that competition you are talking about. I have heard that her coach chose to go with an older, more experienced member of her team for the finals. Mori is now 27 (as of 2 June 2023). She has gotten better and better and better. Other performers who have media machines and exposure behind them may be more well known that Morisssette, but there is no performer out there that is better than Morissette. As you have commented, Morissette just makes you feel good. I need a Mori fix every day!!!
I will never get tired of watching Queen Morissette's powerful performance. Just two years ago I had a bad fall from a makeshift ladder and i hurt my back real bad. The pain was so excruciating and when my daughter help me get to my bed , there was pain all over my body, I became bedridden and couldn't get out of bed. my only consolation and pain killer is watching all over , every-time this performance of the Queen. It gave me a strong positive energy that i found the strength to believe that i can get up and walk again. It took me another 15 days to Rise Up from my bed. I am forever grateful to Queen Morissette. ❤🩹❤🧡

She was born and raised there but, she is at the top of world-class singers. What I find amusing at times is seeing [whatever country] Got Talent and how often the best singer on the show is someone from the Philippines. If I was a contestant on one of those shows and heard that another contestant was from the Philippines I would just back out and say, "I'll come back next year." Morissette is not only a great singer, she's an actress, a songwriter, a producer, an inspiration for all, and a wonderful person. Don't worry that we will get bored with watching you react to her. Watched this many times and I am always amazed by this 5'1" vocal powerhouse. BTW this is a real bus that moves around Manila. I've seen her sing as it was navigating a traffic jam. The song was "Against all odds" from memory. Nice reaction, and yes, you have joined an army of folks who are real fans.

This "rise Up" version of Morrisette was indeed one of the better covers for anyone to enjoy and listen to. Better yet, her Acapella (bare) version of this same song has been transcended to a higher degree of performance ever. Morrisette's Acapella version of "Rise up" by Andrea Day, featured the 3rd Avenue. Incidentally, there was another live collaboration by Morissette with the band 3rd Avenue, "Bruno Mars Evolution Medley". It showcase a versatile Morrisette supported by the equally talented 3rd Avenue band. Morissette's rock/ballad version of "Gusto Ko Ng Bumitaw" is another hitmaker of her's to listen to. (hopefully there is now a subtitle available for it). Morrisette's duet with Daryl Ong of the song, "You Are The Reason"by Calum Scott would surely melt your heart for its beauty. If you're familiar with Demi Lovato's "Stone Cold" you got to hear Morri's cover of that song. The reason why she is sitting down is because she is in a actual moving bus. Not much space to stand and on occasion the bus is moving while they perform. At this time morissette wasnt feeling well and also it the wishbus is a radio station so any song you hear on the bus is fully live with no kind of editing what so ever. Can you imagine being in that bus while she is singing with full residence from her face. My goodness blows my mind

The Philippines is the land of singers. There are so many talented voices. Oddly Morissette has never won any of the singing competitions she entered. She was a runner up when she was 14 in a competition and she got to the semifinals of the Voice Philippines. So it goes to show how deep the talent is in the Philippines. Nonetheless Mori has made a huge name for herself in the Philippines. Now it’s time to make her a huge name around the world.
Let me make a small comment. Asia is a land of singers powered by Kareoki, a PH invention. The story has it that Mori picked up the microphone when she was 3 and was "discovered" by her family.
This is one among her masterpieces. She truly is a worldclass vocal Artist who deserves to be known worldwide. Looking forward to you reacting to one of her best vocal performance "RUN TO YOU" in a TV duel several yrs ago.

There are two more versions of this song from Mori, my favourite is the Acapella version with 3rd Avenue, it's so different and pure, then there is the version with the Whistle again Mori never lets you down, why Mori did not win at that time she was only 17 at the time and the song she chose to sing was from Jessie J I think the it was just the wrong song at the time, not long after Jessie gave an interview to Mori and told Jessie that she sang this on TV and lost, so Jessie invited Mori to sing with her on stage and it's brilliant a great duet, then there is the song LISTEN with the introduction from the great singer Lani and Mori tells her story and sings this song way better than Beyonce, there is more emotion, so try and enjoy.
Queen Mori is the best. She was runner up cuz she was a teenager and still learning and developing. Now she is coming into her own greatness and it shows.

She may have been runner up both those judges now are sure looking at themselves. Usually these shows like American idol ,etc. the person with the best sob story usually wins, not the best singer. You might wonder why the video has so little views. Wish 107.5FM actually removed the original video due to copyright issues. Almost a dozen other videos of this performance uploaded by various channels with millions of views were also taken down by YT. The original video had millions and millions of views. People actually say that had Wish 107.5FM not deleted the same, it would have already gotten hundreds of millions of views, exceeding the 200M+ hits of her Secret Love Song cover and the 160M+ plus of her original song Akin Ka Na Lang on the same radio station. Btw, Andra Day who is the original singer actually got impressed by this version of Rise Up.
