Hi Stanley! Fair and balanced, as always! Her best cover of a Mariah song, imo, was "Through The Rain". IMO, even more difficult to sing than "Vision of Love", but Mori was on her A-game that night. Honestly, I'm not surprised at all if Morissette can hit all those lower and higher registers of Mariah's. They actually have the same styles in singing. In fact, both Mariah and Morissette can hit up to 5 Octave Notes respectively. But Morissette is a bit higher with 2 semitone (5.4) compared to Mariah's (5.2) and knowing the fact that Morissette just turned 26 this year. Definitely, she can even go beyond that. It's just INSANE that she's so TALENTED yet very HUMBLE PERSON. She deserves all the praises and the blessings that she has right now. She's absolutely a rare gem of music industry in today's generation. THAT'S A FACT!

Morisette low notes has been develops well,, but her runs and riffs are not agile as katrina, kyla or elaijne duran but she keeps on polishing her crafts,, she keeps on improving and getting better
I agree with the runs, it's a bit off maybe she should just made it her own coz that run was too iconic that only Mariah can do. She did a great job anyways, truly one of the greatest vocalist of this generation.
I don‘t now…. Maybe she should sing her own song… interpret a song her own way. It‘s boring. We already heard Mariah sing the same songs the same way. She even had the 1990 Mariah handmovements.
If you are following the journey of Morissette you'll know. She has her own song and albums. She always sing those everytime she perform anywhere internationally, in fact her last concert was held in Hawaii few days ago. She even started the show with her single. Try to listen to her album called ''Ep Signature''
You can do covers but you can‘t sing them the exact same way the original artist is singing them. She even sang notes that Mariah did in her unplugged show. Like at 5:41
Raphael, this performance was over 5 years ago. She's been co-writing and producing her own songs since 2021. Check out her song, "Will You Stay" (my favorite song from her latest EP).
@@RaphaelJ-uv9wm This is an old video of over 5 years. She's stopped doing these types of covers since mid-2021. The only exception was when she recently sang "The Bodyguard Medley" (Whitney Houston) because she was invited to sing it by David Foster, the actual composer of those songs.
