I am a 72 yr. old man and the next time my father says he loves me will be the first time. He's 93 and will out live me. He wants it more. So I understand family dynamics gone teeter/totter. I love watching she an David together that one move where she's listening to the song wind down and she reaches out and grabs his head and shakes it, precious moments. Hi Caitlin story behind this song Love you still Morissette co written this song with her now husband Dave, Mori so specially dedicated this song to her love father who disagree for her marriage, since 3 long years ago she released this song till this version she and her father are not yet seeing each other included her mom and sister no one of her family present in her wedding with Dave this time in this version Mori cried, touched by the lyrics "do you still think of me when you seat down for coffee do still longin' to have you near me ", "when we come face to face I really don't know what to say but my eyes gave it all the way, l still love you" Mori fight for her love at same time she is a nice daughter, still we love you Morissette Thank you so much

Just like Morissette, I also dedicate this song to my never-seen dad since I was born. The words Morissette put in this song is just the exact words that I want to tell my Dad if we ever get a chance to meet in person. This is just a heart-wrenching rendition. Hello, beautiful Cait. I like your reaction very much, you were so into it, you also got almost teary-eyed there, like many of us who have watched this sunset version. The thing is, it happens every time we watch it, especially that part when, while recording, she was taken over by her emotion and broke down, but she covered it up with her giggle, paused a little, and then continued, all the while Dave was glancing at her with worried look. Because at that moment, maybe the sadness, longing, and the pain were all coming back to her once again, because most of us already know what's behind this song, and we emphatize with her. We're all hoping and praying that things will soon get better between her and her family. As for the musicality of this version, I agree with you when you said "who knew it could get any better?" A song that is already great was made even better with this arrangement, slower, more delicate and intimate, with only the cello and keys and Mori's beautiful voice. Even Dave couldn't help but exclaim "Ganda!" ("So beautiful!") at the end of the song. The cello player also remarked after Dave said to him, "you made Morissette cry, this arrangement hits differently" and said, "I was also inspired.. the song is beautiful" 🥰
