One month ago a friend who worked in the same building had a stroke at 39 years old and died two weeks later. He was a direct descendant of Brigham Young and a follower of the church of LDS. I’ve been heartbroken for him ever since. These false versions of Christianity are leading people from the real Christ and it’s heartbreaking. That community makes it incredibly difficult to leave and it takes a great work of the Holy Spirit to show them the truth. I really wish I’d have had an opening to show him the truth.

My ex gf was Mormon & I had a very weird experience when we had a “Bible study” but the reason why I put in quotations marks is because it felt like a recruitment session.. Really, The girl kept asking me the same questions & giving very blank response when she knew I wasn’t receptive to their teachings. They 1st said “do you believe Jesus will come back” I said yes but then they tried to say that their leader was a Messiah/prophet do I believe that ? & I said no I don’t. After they pretty much asked the same question in different ways different times & just said we’ll be in touch with my gf. My gf was angry at the time cuz to her I wasn’t being receptive but to me I was being cautious because truly & honestly... it felt like I was being recruited to/for a cult.

Just ask a Mormon one simple question: who is the creator? They have no answer. Satan has fooled him into thinking they can become gods. That was his original sin too. There is no Mormon in heaven.

I have had many opportunities to share the gospel and scriptures with Mormons. When I say share - I am armed with showing them their beliefs with the references from their literature. I show the Bible passages that debunk specific beliefs. My experience is - no matter how many passages you show Mormons, they go away with "well...this is what we believe." Doesn't matter...simply sow the seed of the Word of God. It is the jealous work of the Holy Spirit to change hearts. Thanks Sam.

Mormonism is such a huge part of these people's lives, from family, friends and most of their social settings are centered around their faith, and when you add the aspect of ex communication, it becomes almost impossible for someone to even begin questioning their faith.

Some Mormon ‘elders’ (youngsters) approached me as I was raking leaves in the front. They tried to tell me that God was a man because Moses talked to Him face to face - Exodus 33:11. I told them that God was a spirit (found in John 4:24). They couldn’t handle that and quickly left.

As an ex-mormon I feel this man is either extremely uneducated about his religion, which for a born into it Mormon is very rare, or he is lying because he knows his position can be knocked down. Mormons absolutely believe in a Heavenly Mother and Heavenly Father. They absolutely believe our God was once a man who faithfully lived and became our God, and there are Gods above him. That gives them hope that they can become gods also. Its the whole point of the religion. The quote is "As man is, God once was. As God is man may become." There are Hymns we sing about these things. One is "Oh My Father" and the other is "If I Could Hie to Kolob". Kolob is the highest ordered planet. Also all this information is in another Mormon scripture which isn't much know outside of LDS church. It's called The Pearl of Great Price. It contains the Book of Moses and The Book if Abraham. They were given in visions and translation of old Egyptian writings by Joseph Smith. The writings have since been debunked as a funeral scroll by egyptologists. Probably why he didn't mention it.

My initial thoughts almost halfway into the video. As a Catholic, I can't help but see God's wisdom in establishing his Church by Jesus anointing St Peter to lead it and subsequently give us the Bible through St Jerome then proclaiming the infallibilty of the Magisterium. All authority to interpret the Church's Bible resides exclusively in the Church that published it.
