In this short video I walk you through my morning and evening beard care routine!
I show you the products and techniques I use to keep my beard healthy and feeling great.
I do this daily but it's up to you to experiment to see what works best for your beard. At times I'll substitute balm for butter during the day if my beard needs a bit more nourishment for example.
Play around with it and see what feels right for you!

If you use beard butter at night should you wash your beard in the morning to get rid of the beard butter. And then apply your products again

I only rinse my beard in the morning if I washed it with beard soap the night before. I rinse it and then go straight into my usual morning routine. I wash my beard once a day usually at night 🙌👍

I do the same beard routine that you do, but in the mornings I also use a beard straightener/heat brush. My beard is very curly and thick so I like to straighten my beard. My beard, even though very soft, is still very unmanageable even when using beard oils, balms and butters!😃

A beard comb is a must for a thick curly beard! Glides through much better than the beard brush 👍

I have watched a few videos which say to not wash your beard more than once a day, I normally have a quick wash in the morning and a shower in the evening. I however normally wake up to find some drool in my beard in the morning. Should I just rinse this out in the morning then apply bear oil and balm, then give it a good wash with soap in the evening?

Yes, thats exactly what I do! A good wash at night followed by some beard oil. Then rinse it in the morning before putting in your oil and balm 👍

I used to only used oil or oil+balm in the morning depending what I have planned for any specific day, but now that I’m growing a bit longer I felt the need to start doing something at night so I’ll probably do this one, I always though of butter as a substitute of oil that lasted longer but it make sense to use it focusing on the hairs... my only concern is doing this every day might be overkill and end up being too much product, but I guess it will be directly proportional to the length of the beard... thanks for sharing great videos!

Thanks for this video. I've always been a bit confused as to when to use or why to use butter/balm/wax. I've typically always just used oil and Honest Amish beard balm (which I think is more of a butter). I have recently started using more products to shape my beard and am awaiting my first tin of wax as well.

this is exactly what i was looking for, i have very little time in the AM this is perfect for me, 1 question though is how many times do you shampoo your beard? subscribed and liked, thanks again

Thanks John! Delighted you like the video. I wash my beard with an unscented natural soap once a day. I don't ever use shampoo as I find it very harsh on my beard. I also don't like a lot of the ingredients used in most shampoos. I find a good quality soap feels great, has a good lather and isn't harsh. Of course beard oil goes in once towel dried to rehydrate. Hi Tobin, I would wash my beard with beard soap once a day and rinse it with warm water in the evening before the oil and butter go in 👍

If i go out for the evening what should i put on balm to butter after the oil

I would go for beard balm after the oil for a night out. It will keep its shape longer and you'll be able to manage it by giving it a sneaky brush or comb in the bathroom halfway through the night!
