Morning Drive Down West Lake Road - PA Alt Route 5 - Erie, PA 

I stopped watching a few months back, but hit depression again, and decided to come back, and after hearing what you've been through, I decided to come back and continue supporting you. I am currently single, but seeing what you do, and your motivation, helps get me through these hard times. Used to watch this channel with my cousin before he passed (I'm still hurt from it) but watching and supporting you, is what he would want, so I'm here for the long haul. Ill take your suggestions. If you’re in the Erie area still I’d suggest picking blueberries at Hulings Blueberries, Edinboro. It’s at insection of Old State Route Road and Route 99. If you go to Erie just head North on 99 where you meet Route 19 North (where Kearsarge is) and then there are 20 E & W signs and you take E and that turns into W. 26th Street for a while and you pass a neighborhood and I stop by the Whippy Dip soft ice cream stand, a retro tiny building that is right near a cemetery and neighborhood. If you take the ramp you’ll see that it ends up on 20 W again. The Long John Silver is there and I usually go drive thru. The diner was packed this August 3rd. I’m waiting until mid September weekday to visit again. I take my little dogs to Presque. I usually get to Presque by taking McKean exit then make a right, end of ramp, follow that road until it meets old 832 and I make a right at insection where you see an old house all the way to Presque. At the 4 way under the big tree is Franks in Fairview where I go every time. It’s the 4 way around the school area. Before I get there, a few miles from it, is an easier catch of I 90.

wow, thank you for the advise on a place to stay. always visit waldameer every tuesday during the season but do the 100 mile drive to and from home in a day. always wondered if there were good affordable hotels/ motels close by that were good, clean and safe. thanks for your recommendation. love the mall there and still drive there to shop occasionally, as well as tops markets. thank you again, dave

Wally it’s Thursday, Aug 17th and I started last minute late to Erie area (not planned). I spent 2 hours at Presque than got on I-90 and went to North East, Pennsylvania. 100s of acres of grapes on side of Route 20 heading East. Across McDonalds was Heritage Winery and it was a big old barn. I headed up the steps to a neat dining area. I bought 2 cherry chocolate bottles of wine that tasted like sweet tootsie rolls. You could go out on the deck and drink wine and have a bite to eat. You can get a bite to eat and see Lake Erie in the distance. Very secluded. Many wineries around - maybe you should explore.
