I’ve just recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s and I totally relate to what John described as the beginning of his awareness of the disease. John, you are a real warrior and HUGE inspiration to me and many other new Parkinson’s patients. God bless you and give you many, many more years of abundant and happy life !!
A problem is many non-motor symptoms including “irritability”, constipation, “sleep problems”, etc can be caused by things other than Parkinson’s. Also, many motor symptoms (Parkinsonisms) are common in old age (“Is it Parkinson’s or is it old age?”).
Perhaps it might be helpful to read some of our other stories about patients with Parkinson's and their treatments. Diagnosed 3 years ago. Male, 71 years old. Constipation, very bad fatigue, insomnia, arthritis in spine, knees and hands. Heavy legs, depression and anxiety. I exercise every other day, had to stop hitting the bags, because of arthritis, smell and taste changed.
