We need to stop hyperfocusing on the gaffes. When it got to the meat of the actual policy and what's going on, Biden was on it. Lets discuss what the meat of the messages are. Trump and his immigrant roundup and 10% tariff replacement for taxes are huge things we should be discussing. Instead, we're focused on gaffes.

Exactly, the news stations have been like a bunch of gossipy little girls, wwaiting for him to say the wrong name instead of focusing on the subtance and clarity he delivered in answering multiple two part questions about foreign policy. NBC particularly disgusted me last night the way they responded to this speech. You would have thought they turned it off after he misspoke and said the word Trump instead of Harris. Nothing but a gossip circle that is incapable of focusing on substance.

Everybody makes mistakes. Biden often corrects himself but in any case it’s pretty obvious from context what or who Biden is referring to and that it was just a superficial mistake. Contrast that with Trump who instead doubles down and it’s typically based on nonsense such as his dishonest or obviously wrong attempt to blame the Jan 6 national guard delay on Nancy Pelosi but REPEATEDLY saying Nikki Haley. Or Trumpmultiple times at multiple events confusing Obama and Biden (or acting like WW2 hasn’t happened yet) and when called on it Trumpbullshits us and tries to pretend it was intentional. Trump makes just as many or more verbal gaffes as Biden but doesnt have theability to admit a mistake, or correct it and often what he claims and appears is based on a lie anyway. So this whole hyperfocusing on Bidens gaffes is stupid. He’s always done that and Trumpers saying they dont see those kind of errors when Biden was younger but all that tells us that people havent looked close enough AND yeah the gaffes weren’t the speeches that tended to be saved.
