Good morning!! After years of inconsistency (due mostly to morning sickness and newborns), I finally have a morning routine! It's even an early morning routine. We have been doing this routine for the past four months and it has been working so well!
This is how we wake up the kids, get everyone dressed, fed breakfast, and ready for the day.

Waking up early makes me so grumpy and anxious!!! Literally if I’m awake before 8am it’s like I feel robbed of something or forced into some sort of torture system. 🤣 it’s so ridiculous but I can’t seem to get past it. Looove your videos, so inspiring! If you can wake up that early, maybe I could wake up at 7? 🥴🤷‍♀️🤣

You can do it! It gets easier...but also, it probably wouldn't be a good idea if you are consistently working until 2am. 😘

Our mornings start early , we have five people at home four of us are adults. Life is way different when we had six kids at home. The husband, me and one dd are up between 4:30- 5am, 16 year old son is up at 6:30, along with another adult son. Husband and dd are out the door to work by 5:15am, I leave by 6:30 and both sons leave at 6:50 the older son dropping the teenager at school on his way to work. I unload the dishwasher, feed the dogs, and do some other tidying before I leave. I also pull out meat for dinner and any other meal prep.

My family of 4 kids, we get up at 8. We homeschool. 6am is way to early. Poor babies.....I don't wear makeup either

We homeschool also, but three of our kids have classes starting early. Our oldest leaves at 6:15 to get to her tech College program on time, and the next two have a 0 period class at the high school that starts at 6:50. It's the only time they can take that class because the A/B schedule interferes with our Commonwealth if they do a later period. We have slept until 8 or even 9 for many years. I do not like the 6am, but it's what we have to do in this season.

My husband leaves for work at 6:40, but the rest of us sleep until 8 or 8:30. My 8yo daughter is usually awake first, but quietly reads in bed. I get up when I hear my almost 2yo wake up. We get up and I have coffee, the kids have breakfast. We do our personal Bible reading. We do our Morning getting ready routine and chores. My daughter does her independent school work and when I’m finished getting ready I fix my breakfast and they have snacks while I teach our Bible time. Usually that’s all done by 11. We get school finished around 12 and make lunch. It’s late for some, but works for us in this current season! In July we’ll have a new baby so I’m sure things will change again. 😊

Would love to see a nighttime routine, not sure if you have a video on that. How do you get sleep. I have 5 kids, my youngest is 20 months she still nurses and co sleeps, she has yet to sleep through the night and getting her to bed each night is hard. Needless to say not getting a good night sleep is making my days so hard! You have such a lovely family! I will get it together soon I hope 🤣

Thank you! I do not have a nighttime routine video yet. I will need to make sure to add that to the list. Sleep is super tricky. I also breastfeed and co-sleep, and I have crazy insomnia when pregnant. So, I haven't really gotten good, consistent sleep for over 18 years now. My biggest tip for now is to put the kids to bed early (We start around 7pm if we can), and then go to bed when they do. Many nights I am in my bed by 8:30pm. I never fall asleep before 10pm, and usually stay up much later working on other things...but I do all of that from my bed. I find it helpful to wind down my day. I also found that my kids were even harder to put to bed if they knew I was going back downstairs to work on other things. That probably doesn't help. 😆

when my boys were school age I would first make coffee, make breakfast, wake the boys and make their lunches. I would draw on their lunch sacks or put a note inside. In high school 1 son would only eat chicken caesar salad for lunch. He is now a nutritionist-the chemistry & biology aspect. He was born with a gluten intolerance pre gluten-free. He would get blisters on his belly and feet! He learned to manage his own foods. Turns out he has many many allergies to foods & the outdoors. Me as well.

love the real life I am so not a gettter up eariler its so hard but this encouragened me to try to be ..... thank you for shareing. I would love to be able to get our devo in the am but its at bed time now

If bedtime worked around here, I would totally do our Circle time then! I really would prefer to sleep in longer and let the little ones sleep longer. But my older daughters have jobs and two of them often work late, so we can't guarantee what we will all be home together in the evenings.

I think if you have family time while everyone is awake they will be more attentive these kids are so tired.

I'm sure they would be, but this 30 minutes is literally the only time we have with everyone home. At 10:09 in this video you can see Danielle and Christine walk in after they return from their zero period class at the high school. They left the house at 6:40, and right after they got home, Kathryn left for a 1st period class at the high school. By the time my husband finished work, Kathryn was at work, and by the time she got home, all the littles were in bed. So, 6am is the only consistent chance we have to be together for this kind of thing.
