There must be something about 14hh welshies. Gamblers stable looks very familiar..😂😂 buried poo. In various locations. Wee's all over the place. Very dirty and wet.Mare laying on top of poo( covered in poo stains dirt moo😅😅😅. Very great idea tying the water up.!! Yes lots of water throwing about and the container with welshies..Lol. they are hilarious.😂😂. Your boys are all so differrent. To how fast they eat. And thier toilet habits...All unique individuals. ..Funny how some horses feel the heat and sweat alot.! Being black doesen't help! But beautiful.❤. Golden Princess is a sun worshiper.( loves a sunbathe. 😂) Rain hater...😅😅 who tiptoes round the mud. Runs straight into her stable when it rains.( is she really Welsh? Ha ha. Donut is such a big softee stallion..Bless him.. savoring his food...Willow always looks worried. 😂😂 Gambler just thinks about food...😂😂😂. Golden princess, snorts like a pig when eating...No lady for sure..loves her grub. And like gambler. . A fatty bum bum.😅😅 always on restricted grazing. Soaked hay. To keep her wieght down...just looks at food and she puts on wieght.😅😅. My god Karen your hay nets are huge...? And some left over in morning...But Gambler must have a smaller net? Otherwise he would be huge.😅😅😅. Just love All your beautiful boys. Love welshies. Nice to see you having time jaten. Not rushing about working first...❤❤ you look so well. And happy...lovely to see yoyr morning routinee. Thus weather changes constantly. Rain and more rain.🙉. !! I expect summer will resume at some point? Then a heat wave no doubt....😅😅...Agree about the food. Far too much choice. Each feed manufacturer claiming theres is best. I agree , simple feed is best. Chaff, oil( linseed) and either a scoop vit and mins. Or cool mix....and zero sugar beet pulp...filling, fibre, but not fattening. And never any sugar for welshies...Not keen on balancers..?you dont know whats in them? Send many welshies bonkers...!! I agree about bits too. French link loose ring snaffle. Eggbutt snaffle All i have ever used. And rubber bit when first bridled, The vast array choice of bits is staggerring these days? No idea what they are needed for? I gwt the double bridle for showing...but to be honest never used a double bridle..Could you please do a video. On howca double bridle works. And explain why its used in showing and its action compared to a single bit please...karen? Xx willow looks amazing...All your boys do.. total credit to you...Reflected in your wins. Witb Gambler And the RVC awatd for best condition...You look after yoyr boys so well karen..Lucky boys to have such a good mum. Xxx Including Lewis and your sons.xx❤❤

Loved this thx ...my boy also just gets a so you don't feel left out feed at dinner lol... He only gets hay for breakfast and I am lucky as all the horses here have an attached dry paddock to their stalls so they can go in or out as they want, great for when fields are too wet , and he only goes to the bathroom outside😊. Everyone loves to do my stall lol

In our previous stable there was not enough straw so we bought flax bedding, the first days it's nice and fluffy but after that it just does not looks clean. Our new stable is very generous with the straw and she is often standing knee high in straw, i love it!

Yes I think these shavings / flax beddings look nice for a day or two then start looking disgusting, I don’t think there is anything better then a big fluffy straw bed

Great vid karen👍 non equestrians need to see this and what we do 365 days a year, they often criticise is for prancing/jumping around on horses. Tip for keeping less flys away I peel skin off a bulb of garlic mash it then blender it with added water take a dish cloth soak in mixture, and wipe on body parts, its not a cure but does help Till next time. 👍💯

The trouble with the Welsh Cob is they are such ‘ good doers’ they can live on the grass between the paving stones. This, if we’re not careful can lead to adorable, chunky monkeys. Joking apart, perhaps have Gambler checked for insulin resistance. I you haven’t done it yet worth a try. Love your enthusiasm and kindness and genuine skill in showing your boys to a high standard. Great to see Lewis following in your footsteps. 🙋‍♀️🐎👏🏻❤️❤️

Haha yes 😂 poor gambler just looks at grass and puts the weight on. That is definitely an idea, when the vets are next due out I will ask them to check as he puts weight on so easily Thank you so much ❤️ xx

All natural...😊😊😊 Garlic in feed helps karen. No more flies is meant to be good i have heard. Full ear face uv fly mask. Xxxx

Great video and I am like you a producer of section B’s and D’s and I have owned them for 50 odd years as my dad breeds them and so did my grandfather and they are In our family for generations and I have a black section D and I mix neem oil, apple cider vinegar and essential oil like lavender or eucalyptus essential oil and make it up your self in a empty spray bottle each week or as needed, the neem oil is thick and can buy is off Amazon or any wheee and as the oil is thick it’s last all summer long and place the bottle in warm water before you pour it out in to a empty bottle to do your mixing with the other ingredients or you can add tiny bit of washing up liquid to dissolve the oi to help it mix up, neem oil cheap as heck too. And I put a summer cool rug on Cariad ( my black Sec D ) and a hood and she is 100% fine :-) the neem oil mix and summer rug and hood works a treat every summer for years and years. Feed Garlic each day in there feeds ie pure garlic minced or go buy garlic powder to mix in there feed and works as well all of the above really dose work xxx

Ah wow that’s lovely that they’ve been in the family for so long, That brilliant thank you, I will give that a go making it up and hope it helps him, He does have a fly rug he usually wears but him and donut are so playful that it would be ripped to shreds in seconds 😂 xx

Lol but won loads on her she knew when to be have and when not too hahaha they are so wise. We may meet up in a class one day if you do end up coming to North West or mid wales shows xxx

Hi, I've only just found you as you popped up on my home page, just a bit of advice start putting some garlic in his feeds and that should help with the flys, also the fly spay over here isn't as strong as in some other countries! I use fly spray from America it's in a yellow bottle with black righting on it. The brand is called pyranha wipe spray for horses, it's a bit expensive i think at £46 pound a bottle, but, you do get a gallon of it, it's the best stuff I've ever used on my own horses! And if your like me you will pay it just so there comfortable. But I hope this helps, all your horses are beautiful and congratulations to your son for qualifying for your horse live, wish him all the luck in the world! Also just to answer your question about the vets, mine normally give a rough time of arrival. but if something pops up or their has been an emergency called in they will always call to let you know what's happening and say their running late or if they can they will pass it on to another large animal vet to do the call out. I'm lucky really as I'm based in Cheshire and we have some great vets by use we use 2 different vets for different things.
@KarenBadrick1
@KarenBadrick1 Месяц назад
Hiya Thank you for being here ❤️ I did used to feed garlic in there feeds all the time but then there was something said about constant use made them ill in other ways 😕 so I stopped it, I may just have to start using it again. Being right next to the river makes the flies really bad Yes your right, I will pay whatever is needed of it works and gives him some relief from the flies. Yes about the vets, I’m more then ok for emergencies to crop up and times change, but I don’t know if I can handle the waiting all day for them xx
@sarahhawkes-bx2uz
@sarahhawkes-bx2uz Месяц назад
@@KarenBadrick1 hi Karen, I've always used garlic in my feeds even in the winter, I've never heard that it's not good for them and my horses have always been fine with it, I know the feeling about being by the canals or reservoirs as we have both right by use and at this time of year the flys are awful. I've got a section c and she's got sweet itch and it's really bad at this time of year because of the flys, but like I said that fly spray is the best thing I've ever used on mine and it's a hell of a lot stronger then anything you can get over here and if you have a look on Google it's got 5* reviews on most websites that sell it, like I said it's a bit more expensive but you pay it so their comfortable, as you want them to be out on the grass as we don't really get great weather here all year round do we, so you try to make the most of it why you can! my girl has a full fly rug with a full mask, she hates it but it's a must at this time of year. Also I couldn't think of nothing worse then waiting around all day wondering what time the vets are going to call out as you have got things to do, rather then sat waiting around for them to call, that would drive me mad as I normally work around what appointments I have, so like you would go down turn out and muck out then go and do what I need to do, then go back for my appointment time! If you don't mind me asking where are you based?
