Just wanted to thank you for all your videos. I got dunked into the chinchilla world hard 3 months ago when my mom got me a Chinchilla (which I've never heard about or seen before). We're in Singapore, where the temperature's a constant 30+ and humidity's >70%, so my first priority was not to let this plump, overenergetic lil monster die, and your videos helped me so much with that. These days, my lil monster even grooms me during our daily grooming sessions. Thank you so much for helping me give my chin a good life.

I have a bunny but I’m wondering do they ever cry when you clean their cage & change their food ?my bunny cries every time I change her food & litter .She also tries to dig on me if that makes sense .I got her about a month ago .she’s 2
@@Heavenlyaniya maybe remove her from the cage or area before doing it by putting her into some sort of play pen with treats and she will associate it with food instead of you changing her home x
Hey, please don't put your bunny in a cage, it's not healthy for them at all, they need to play and jump around, I suggest you to check the channel "Lennon the bunny" ^^ and I don't know about the crying part, but it's perfectly normal that they dig on you !
Could you make a video on how to train your chinchilla? It would be a big help! Some of the things I would like help on would be not trying to escape her cage not jumping onto things in the bathroom and eating the wall! I understand if your busy but it would be a huge help! I got a hand vacuum for my cage. At first I thought my chinchilla would be scared of it but he actually doesn’t mind it. It is way easier to vacuum than sweep for me.
I used to have one of those but the hay always got stuck and it would stop working so I use only a sweeper now. But I’m happy they works well for you! 💕
They need more space my love. I recommend to use the whole shed as there house and have a gate or dog pen at the entrance. You could add in loads more toys and wooden climbing frames. They would love you for it
chinchillas would hate that. they are naturally den dwellers and prey animals so large opens spaces would leave them in a constant anxious state. also the fact that they are really bad at controlling their body temperature , unlimited free roam could have devastating effects on their health such as seizures.
@@cheesecakevari1445 No you just keep a mini heater high up in the room like you have in bathrooms and you can put a carpet or fleece in there for them to keep them warm, poor things trappe din their cage all the wile.
@@elsiebrown5031 chinchillas cannot sweat and struggle to regulate their body temperature. the last thing you want is to have a heater constantly on and chinchillas would eat carpet which could potentially kill them!! omg pls do some research. Also , i never said that they can never come out of the cage. of course they need time out but it has to me supervised and limited.
@@cheesecakevari1445 they dont need to sweat or struggle no, and it doesent need to be on constantly just have it on a low heat and only the times when its colder and not the whole day.
does ur chinchilla fight that's why u keep them separate? my chinchillas are living together in a large cage and they are very happy together, they cuddle with each other , I recommend maybe let them be together if they aren't fighting with each other :D
Just buy as many different kinds (loofa, pumice, apple wood, pear wood, round ones, sharp edged ones and see what they like best of. It’s different for every chin😊💕
Im going to get a chinchilla. But! Im going to an “Efterskole*” in 3 years, so ill have to Sell it again, then, so i kinda just wanted your aprooval of it, if That makes any sense... (*An Efterskole is a Danish thing, instead of College, but only one year)
Chinchillas are very sensitive and can form strong bonds with owners. They probably aren’t the right pet for you :(. It’s a shame but it happens to a lot of people.
Hi! I love your content, so I’m getting two chinchillas soon, and I wanted to know whether or not you think I should get aspen shavings, or a fleece liner? Or both. Does it matter at all, and what do you prefer?
I’ve had aspen shavings in the past and it works... but it’s very messy and will get everywhere. It’s also very expensive in the long run since you have to constantly buy more each month. It’s harder to keep their cage clean throughout the week since you can’t spot clean, like you can with fleece. Fleece is much cheaper and easier to keep clean in my opinion but you’ll have to be willing to wash them every week, it’s very easy to do. It’s all up to what you think is best. You can try aspen first and switch to fleece if you’re curious about both ☺️💕
This will sound crazy, but I have 12 chinchillas. Some adapt to human interaction very quickly and are super friendly, while some took almost 2 years to be held calmly. And, it is not necessarily because they are frightened of me. They all interact with me and jump all over me when I let them run around. Some just do not seem to feel secure being restrained. There is also the fact that they are little bundles of energy that can't sit still for long. I have one that will come out for a minute or two and sprawl across my arm to be petted. But it is not too long before even she just wants to get down and run. But most of them took at least several months to become reasonably comfortable with me. Do not get discouraged after only 2 months. Just play with it on its terms My experience is that trying to rush things just makes it worse.
@@thechinchillachannel8457 thanks for the advice, my chinchilla is a little strange haha he likes when I feed him by hand and he doesnt mind when when i hold him in my arms, its the actually petting or picking up part he doesnt like. i guess he just doesnt like being in my hands
@@8b_ahmadsulthany239 yes!! our oldest cat is maverick, he is 16 :) than our youngest cat is Mac, he’s 9. Sadly merlin has kidney failure, but he is working through it! 💕
Hi I’m just watching a video and I have a rabbit in his litter box train so I would say that you should a little box your chinchillas so you don’t have to go through all that stress
I’ve tried before with Merlin and it didn’t work out. I’ve heard it’s very hard to potty train chinchillas and honestly I don’t really want to train them anyway. I want them being able to pee wherever they want, and I don’t mind cleaning😊💕
I’ve tried bonding them several times but they don’t get along and have both exhibited more relaxing and happy behaviors living in cages side by side 💕
