@SeverityOne
@SeverityOne 9 месяцев назад
Rather than less developed, I'd argue that there's a greater disparity in development. When I look at the railway stations, I see a modern country. But I reckon that, once you get to the more rural areas (such as the ones that were hit by that devastating earthquake) it's a different story. I also think that those are the areas that most Moroccan immigrants in Europe hail from, because they dress far more conservatively than the people seen in the video.

8:20 *All trains depart every hour, on the hour, from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, except at 1:00 PM* Every foreigner: It's due to lunchtime! My opinion: Maybe at 1:00 PM the Moroccan Railway workers pray, 'cause there must be a train at that time, with or without being lunchtime. You know, if they can't pray 5 times a day, they must pray, at least, once per day, at 1:00 PM. It's like taking a break to make Allah happy. They stop, pray and then get back to work. Btw, this could be part of a futuristic line that will cross the Strait of Gibraltar underwater. There's a massive project between Spain & Morocco that began in the 1980's to connect themselves via a 14-kilometre tunnel under the Strait of Gibraltar, like the English Channel Tunnel, with trains carrying cars, so ferries from the ports of Tarifa or Algeciras to Tangier could be less busy, specially on Summer, when hundreds of thousands of muslims working in Europe go back to their countries and vice-versa, but it's just that, a project that don't go anywhere
@NonstopEurotrip

Very good points Pedro 🙂👍
@Sayitlikitiz101

It's actually very likely a lunch break. As in most Mediterranean countries, Morocco does observe the lunch break if not the famous "siesta time" (sieste in French). As for the prayer, Moroccans are not known for their strict adherence to Islamic rituals and regardless, prayer times changes throughout the year and may not fall necessarily at 1PM, my guess is that it likely isn't most of the year. I lived in the UAE and noticed that.

The train seemed a bit empty, but I could tell from the light - I live in Europe, on pretty much the same geographical height as Gibraltar - that it was summer. There's just a certain intensity and hue to the light in summer. Everything starts to glare. Over here, it slows down during summer because it's just so hot, and I would imagine that it's the same thing in Morocco. It's great that they have a high-speed train running in Morocco, but I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it that it's in Africa. Morocco has more in common with the wider Mediterranean than with Sub-Saharan Africa, and I can't really see many more places where such a train could run; be it because of geographical, political or economic reasons. Africa is a very big place.

Great one 👌 BTW: Why don't more high-speed trains have a double decker layout? Is it only because of most routes' expected capacities not warranting it or are there any other reasons as well. Video & Channel idea/suggestion: You could vlog your intra-city travelling & exploration too and it's alright even if you aren't in front of the camera, could create a separate second channel for it too if you want to keep this one purely for train travel but I honestly think it would be great both for you as well as us, only if you're interested in doing it though. Thanks for the amazing videos 💖 Take care 🍁

Because, believe it or not, it doesn't actually increase the capacity much at all because of all the stairs and other wasted space. A single decker train of the same length only has about 20% less seats. And I don't have time to make any other channels right now, sorry 😅

Certainly, your video gives a good impression of the modern development of the Kingdom of Morocco in the field of rail transport, especially on Al Borak; high-speed train. However, towards the end of your video you committed a monumental blunder by talking about the courtesy of France in providing the kingdom with this high-speed train since this country never does anything graciously because it has done everything to carry away this 14-mile walk 'tgv' trains which cost Morocco 1/2 billion dollars and all the infrastructures carried out mainly by Moroccan technicians linking Tangier-Casablanca cost the colossal sum of 02 billion dollars without including the cost of the 04 ultra modern stations between Casablanca. -Tangier which cost hundreds of millions of dollars. So please be careful from now on before making mistakes and thank you for your understanding.
@NonstopEurotrip
@NonstopEurotrip 8 месяцев назад
I didn't say they provided it, you should watch and understand better
@myhome4735
@myhome4735 8 месяцев назад
Excuse me, I know very well how to differentiate the meaning between 'provide' and 'courtesy' and my comment was more to enlighten all those who watched this video and would have unfortunately understood that France had been kind enough to put graciously its know-how so that the Moroccan company ONCF can join the restricted club of companies with high-speed trains exceeding 300 km/hour.
