You do a really good job with your videos really getting into the nitty-gritty with each morph. You can tell that you really love these animals and you have done your research with each morph. Your able to point out some things that I didn't know before and it's really amazing. I really hope you're able to get more subscribers. You deserve it.
I have a Mojave Morph Ball Python. My first. I got Medusa when she was a young Juvenile. I took her in when my younger brother was no longer able to care for her. I have had her for almost two years now and she is pushing four feet in length. Medusa is the most docile, even-tempered snake I have ever seen. Yes, Medusa hissed at me twice when I first started handling her. When she realized I wasn't going to hurt her, she never did it again. She "punched" me on the pad of my right thumb several months back but hasn't actually bitten me as of yet. I think it was close to feeding time and thought my thumb was her dinner. I use the frozen/thaw method of feeding her rats. I never live-feed. I wrap her around my neck when I have to have her out and need to clean out her tank or just because she wanted out. For the most part, Medusa stays in place while I do that. I recommend a Ball Python as a starter Snake.
I'm surprised there's not any specific background history of this morph, especially given that the Sutherlands even have their own RU-vid channel. Most of the early classic morphs have a very colorful discovery and origin story. And Mojave is basically the only OG morph that originated on the West Coast. I remember when they were going for $25K a pop at Orlando and Miami shows. Someone needs to finally tell the Mojave story.
@rizdraver, I agree completely! Barczyk did a video briefly discussing the back story with them but it definitely deserves more attention for being such an influential morph!
Hey Benjamin check out the Gold Blush Mojave's that Brian Gundy produces, they are amazing. I know you like Mojave so I thought you might want to check it out.
@eddie julian, Indeed! I have been watching the Gold Blush project for years and I think it is a very underrated gene, and definitely has something genetic going on! This is definitely a gene I NEED to add to my collection soon!
Yes the white belly is so true. I have a mojave that has the alien head but the person i got her from said she was just a mojave when i received him he was a she and for some reason she looks like shes not just a mojave shes dark as crap im thinking she has 2 genes but im not sure
I really wish I knew that if something had a het gene you wouldn’t be able to see the pattern cus I didn’t know the different genes at the time of his purchase :D
@Michael Scaggs, that's awesome! Firefly Ball Pythons are really stunning, just make sure you buy a high quality and really bright Fire Ball Python to get the best results! Thanks for watching, and I wish you the best of success!
@blue footed booby , Indeed! Of course I'm only talking about their colors and patterns and not how they actually taste, although I will say their shed skins can be quite flavorful with a bit of seasoning. Lol :)
