This is TAMIYA MORRIS MINI COOPER S building video. 00:00 door handle 05:06 bonnet badge 08:35 boot lid cable 11:54 windshield wiper 18:02 number plate
This scale model is built to a better standard of finish than most UK-built vintage Minis were straight from the factory. Such an incredible level of detail; it boggles the mind to think how many hours went into this outstanding build. Thank you for documenting your work, A4 Garage!
There are not sufficient superlatives to give you the praise you deserve for this most wonderful project we have been watching from the beginning to end. Perhaps the best reward I can offer is that you have inspired many other modellers, myself included, to try detailing up their own models, in whatever way we can. Thank you for sharing your art and pleasure.
You should move to Switzerland and become a master watchmaker of ultra-high end watches… I have honestly never seen this level of detail before… wow!!! Thank you for this
There is so much more to this than beautifully made models built with surgical precision. The hours and hours of research that has to be done beforehand to ensure accuracy. The preparation for the filming and the editing process must take days. Finally taking the time to reply to every single message shows true gratitude. This is so much more than just another RU-vid video, it's a work of art.
Freaking unbelieveable. When i thought i have seen everything, the GOD-level builder comes up with this MINI. Small in size, but HUGE in details. I thought where is the light on the headliner, and there it was. I can only dream of building modelkits like this for the next 10 years. You Are The MASTER. Thanks for all those video,s you posed and we all can amire your building-skills.
@@humphreygokart2135 yeah i am now 58 and use reeding-glasses. Maybe when i am 68 i will be walkeng around with a microscope on my head to see at least a little bit. But i still have hope i can improve a lot my buildingskills. We all kneed to know our limits on 1 moment.
My sincerest congratulations with this result. I advised this video to the members of the Dutch Mini Seven Club, they are in awe. Thanks for showing your skills.
The details are what really makes this SO incredible. From the smallest intricate handmade pieces, to the flawless paint finish, perfect panel gaps, it is just stunning. If only my very own classic Mini looked as good as this! Bravo 👏🏻
I was just waiting for the interior lighting to turn on when you opened a door of the mini. The level of detail is magnificent. Looks like the build quality of your model is better than the original! Chapeau!
When it came out of the box it was just a piece of plastic that was vaguely shaped like a Morris Mini Cooper, now it's a real miniature Morris Mini Cooper. A masterpiece made of art, ability, patience, attention to detail, creativity and a lot of study of the car in question. Never seen such a thing before!
OK, where's the 1/24 scale guy to get in, fire up the engine, and drive it across your table? LOL!!!!! What a magnificent little jewel you have created!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see what you do next!!!!!!
A true masterpiece ! One observation though and an easy fix for you. That is a right hand drive mini with left hand drive wipers. They should swing the other way. And I only noticed it comparing it to a real mini!
I wanted to leave the same comment on the reversed windscreen wipers. Technically they are wrong. I checked online and many real cars also have reversed windscreen wipers both on the right-hand drive and left. At the factory they must have done a lot of confusion or went to savings money. So even if wrong is realistic... 😄👍🏻
@@A4Garage You're right ... Searching "1964 Morris Mini" are almost all to the right the wipers. Analyzing the thing, I noticed that the wiper pins are symmetrical, then technically the glass is always cleaned as regards where the wipers rest. Like the old 911... Follow the same rule, right hand, right wipers. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I literally love everything about this model. The colours used, the attention to detail, the wipers, the fold-down number plate.... Everything. Absolutely stunning model. Incredible work.
With the *fabulous* level of detail on this perfect little Mini, I was surprised to see the back number plate simply being glued on. Of course, my surprise didn't last long! Utterly absorbing videos.
You got the hinged number plate to work!! - Absolutely brilliant from start to finish - a real treat to watch such extraordinary skills and without doubt the finest model of a Mini which I have ever seen on any scale. I cannot wait for the next one - thanks so much for sharing with us.
I forgot all about the hinged number plate! When I was restoring mine as a teenager, I found the hinge, but they do not work well with US size plates. The cables on the boot were also well done. You have hit so many fun points of the Mini, well done.
Absolutely brilliant! One tiny point: from about 1962 until 1970 a small chrome button was used to fill the gap between the door and the tip of the door handle, to stop the handle catching in clothes and tearing them off! You cut it off the door moulding. You might want to replicate it in metal, easily done for someone with your amazing skills. Bravo!
Stunning! I'm struggling to put into words how impressed I am with the standard of craftsmanship on this. I'm a lifelong Mini fan and have loved watching this build.
You are really genius to have such a great details sharing this pleasurable experience documented and must be tremendous amount of hours and to come up with a beautiful masterpiece like this, I really take off my hat for you learning from your technical experience I really enjoyed it very much thanks again
I've watched dozens and dozens of model building RU-vids, but I have never seen anything like this. I'm actually sad that this build is now complete. AMAZING talent and attention to detail. I'm in awe. You sir, are an immense talent and I thank you for sharing and for the beautifully filmed record of your techniques. Thank you . Stay safe.....
Well, there she is. Who knows how many of these kits Tamiya made, but this is the only one like it in existence. One of the neater aspects of models, I think. It's a shame to see her go, but she got all the attention to detail she deserved, and then some. I know you need to take yourself a good little break in between projects, but I certainly can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. Have a great weekend.
I've been following your channel and so others of plastic scale model building and I've ended so, so amazed by you and the other guys, it's amazing how you make parts from scratch and you make parts as if they were factory maded. It's fantastic, this skill level is far, far away from that modelling skill from the 1990's or the 2000's, is insane.
Compliments! Your level of detail makes me think you have owned one yourselve in the past. Almost everything is spot on! Only the hydraulic lines for the clutch and brakes were run differently but everything else is top notch!!
