@@keefr22 This. My brother has a 1985 Jet Black mini and its always broken somwehre and you basically chase the rust around them but they're great cars
This is what always happens when you buy an open box. You’re missing the instructions and at least one whole part tree, and spend half your time fabricating parts…I absolutely love your channel! By far the best model modded on RU-vid.
So when you finish this build, a little 1/24 scale man is going to get in, fire it up, and drive it across your table? Just outstanding workmanship and attention to detail!!!!!!!!!!
Full of admiration for your small detail modelling. An absolute masterclass. Your video presentation is also worthy of mention. Perhaps you could do an episode on the tools and accessories you use , again, they seem first rate.
Your modeling skills never cease to amaze and the camerawork and editing is excellent too. And I said it before and say it again, thank you so much for not adding some stupid music to your videos.
Every video of this amazing very detailed build is just mind blowing, so much attention to detail and every part is fitted as it was on the original mini on the production line. Absolute genius at work here. Tamiya would be so proud of your build of this model kit.
Ok, I am officially impressed... I have a kit I'm building that I now need to rethink a lot of the details after watching your videos. Truly amazing workmanship here to say the very least. I can't wait to go back and watch all your videos - absolutely stunning!!!
Thanks for posting these videos and sharing your skills and craftmanship. You do not build models you build superb miniature car replicas. Your work is an inspiration for all of us that are in the modelling hobby.
The Tamiya kit was a great start, but you've most definitely taken it several levels up. When you feel the notion, a little more "how to"- you have great hands, and the practice with them to deserve to show them off! FR
@@A4Garage You did the work! All I had to do was watch it through (taking notes and stopping to repeat/slow) and enjoy watching your hands make your vision for the Mini come to life. Definitely subbed! FWIW, I'm into more than just cars, so play through, sir! FR
I build models of the USS 1701 enterprise, I always said that trekworks was just amazing esp the spraying of the Aztecs on full model and not use decals But you sir are on another level!!! I’m absolutely blown away!!!
Something I have done with kit coil springs is I drill out the center with successively larger drill bits to get the inside to be as thin as possible but still look to be scale accurate. When I can see light through the insides of the windings I will leave the spring on the final bit size & then use a hobby knife & small files to open the area around the spring so it look realistic. You do amazing work by the way. Thank you for sharing
I know your secret to making such a beautiful model. in reality you have a machine for shrinking an actual car. not possible otherwise. more than a great job. a work of art
Brilliant work - my only note (as somebody who has built the Tamiya model and who also owns a real Mk1 Mini) is that the rear face of the rear sub-frame has been moulded incorrectly. I think they have attempted to include the 2 curved rear hydro-elastic pipes but this has been done very clumsily, looking more like 2 large curved additions to the subframe, which then look like hefty metal elements of the sub-frame itself, but which are in fact two curved hydraulic hoses. Your brake servo installation is a work of art!
It really is amazing the dedication to perfection but I can t help feeling it makes anything us mere mortals make at a lower level of ability feel very blah and inadequate.. who has this amount of time patience and dexterity .. impressive yep , disheartening yep also
Considering the actual car, my work is just a humble imitation. However, I don't think the level of the model is important. I think the model that everyone made themselves with joy and enthusiasm is special. Thank you.
Amazing attention to detail - I’m surprised that you don’t own a real Mini as you obviously know the car inside and out. Very, very good work. I would like to point out that I think that the front suspension tie rods look too fat as they come on the front subframe. You should make your own, I’m sure they will be much better!
Are you sure that you use only imperial scale nuts and washers? 😉 I like your dedication to the details, there are barely no spots on the car, where you could add another gimmick, because there are no more on the real car. Amazing.
The precision, attention to detail and cleanliness of the construction are amazing: those made are works of art !! One question: why if the engine is a four cylinder there are only three exhaust manifolds? Congratulations again
You don't build a model, you engineer it. The only reason I think this is better than the DS is I love the colour of this. What are you using for the carpet and engine bay insulation?
Thank you. The carpet is rough painted, and the insulation is paper with a printed pattern.(DS21) carpet-suede sheet engine bay insulation- Kamodels real leather (morris mini)
