Great ‘warts and all’ video 👍 Love the way you hauled that engine out - they are not light 🤔 who needs a gym 🤣 Forged rockers?.... What engine is it? Are you doing the welding... You are posting up on the MMOV Avon branch, are you South West area?

that engine was bloody heavy, 1100cc i also got it into a wheel barrow to move to my workshop and then up on to a bench for dismantling, god knows how. i am going to be doing the welding, just learning though. we are on the isle of wight, i have joined a few moggy groups to try and get the Project Mildred word out there, thanks for watching, new video every sunday

Gee's mate, you must bloody strong lifting that block out of that morrie I took the engine out of mine a few yrs ago but I used a block and tackle. I put in a 1100cc motor in my morrie and it went like hell. .............. and I had wide wheels too it was great on the hills as well.

Good hands on stuff. I'm watching this and your other videos with interest as I'm currently refreshing my 1000 Traveler at the moment to relieve lockdown boredom. I was disappointed not to be able to drive down from Lincolnshire to participate in the the Isle of Wight minor' owners rally last year. I would have removed the front end 1st before I started removing components in the engine bay, just for ease of access. Also I try and re-use as much as I can, e.g. I would rather have refurbished original panels. Patinaed original chrome parts are preferable to me than shiny new inferior ones that will soon rust. Also stainless steel fastenings may look pretty but are not as strong as steel. Same goes for using Whitworth bolts rather than AF (UNC & UNF) or metric ones: the reduced pitch angle on Whitworth threads makes them stronger. In short I use original types of fastenings where practicable, although BA bolts and machine screws are getting rarer to source. Keep up the good work

Loved this! Who needs an engine crane eh muscles😂😂😂? Bet you can’t put it back the same way as you got it out😜 It’s a good idea to put some safety glasses on mate when you’re working underneath her. A bit of rust or crap in your eye will not only make you swear a bit, but can be bloody painful and damage your eyes forever. As an Engineer I speak from experience and have had some lucky escapes myself. When I was an apprentice, one of my mates had his eye damaged permanently. Keep safe. Good tip with the hot air gun though👍

yer mate I'm terrible, i have been most the time, its one of the reasons we just ordered a rollover jig, won't have to lay down underneath her.my back was knackered after. i also managed to get it in a wheelbarrow and then up to my workbench. thanks a lot for watching, please like and share it on your social media mate. talk soon

Have put a link up on the MMOC forum page for you. I think a lot of owners will find your vids useful👍 Just finished putting new carpets in mine, new seat belts to go in next then clean and replace the seats. Can offer some advice if you’re gonna do the carpets later on.
