Yeah he didn't do it alone though...the Smiths were a band, not just this guy🤷 Also too bad he's become the hateful racist pompous ass he once despised

I guess him flying out to the U.S. means he's jabbed. On top of recently writing a song about the Manchester Arena Psy-Op, it's safe to say that Morrissey isn't nearly as awake as many of us thought. Shame.
Yes, I saw them both (Bowie in Paris and The Smiths in Versailles), and I was dragged nearly by force to see Bowie live, and I DO NOT regret it, not any day!! Bowie was an old guy then, but when he did good old songs (like Lady Stardust) it was just… unforgettable! (same kind of feeling as here, when SPM sings "How soon is now"… or "Half a Person").
Alain Whyte (standing in for Boz Boorer) is back on guitar and backing vocals....he hadn't played live with Moz since about 2004 before last year's (2021) Ceasar's Palace shows. His presence might be part of the reason for the high percentage of songs from the 80's-90's in the setlist.
Morrissey incredibly maintains his voice intact. Considering other artists of the 80s that lost their vocal ability, he is one of those that really keeps the rock rolling. He still does not know what drugs are! S2
His voice is not only intact, it has improved considerably in comparison to the 80s. He sings with much more comfort and confidence than in the early days. The man is an absolute class act !
I remember him talking about trying prozac for his depression, but it didn’t work for him. He said that depression just lessened as he got older, at a gig of his at Brixton, years ago. I reckon that’s the only drug he’s tried! Interestingly, a girl who was my student and I got friendly with, comes from Manchester, and went to most of The Smiths early gigs. She said he had a large female following, and she got the impression that he was no angel!
Yes, Pierre Giles, I know! I was being somewhat facetious! I know what you mean, I can hardly imagine Moz with a blunt hanging out of his mouth 😆 I was using prozac as an example of how innocent he appears, but do we really know? As illustrated by my mate's impression of him enjoying the company of girls in the early days
In his autobiography, he said at school he was not interested in girls. When his buddy told him why they were milling about him, he had even less interest.
So great to see Alain back in the lineup. He is such a talent. The band sounds superb. Morrissey sounds better than ever. The new songs are catchy~ Rob/Boston
Ohhhhh, the irony of starting with "We Hate It When Our Friends Become Successful" deep in the heart of Las Vegas and the Religion of Money and Greed. LOL!
Strangely, this isn't a performance for you watching it on RU-vid. These are people who are incredibly excited to be there, in person. Screw your entitlement.
@@paolo-n2000 Nobody is asking her to be quiet, just for her to listen to the damn song then cheer, clap, rush the stage, sing along in between songs like everyone else. My mother said the stupidest thing she ever did was scream through every Beatles song at the concert she attended, never heard the Beatles, just heard herself screaming 🤷♀️. No I’m not the concert police but that woman’s voice just ruins the clip and I’m not jealous because I have the smiths under my belt along with every tour Morrissey has done even the ones when he walked on stage and walked back off!! Imagine going to a concert and woohooing all through every damn song🤷♀️nope there’s a limit and she crossed it!
Saw him in Milwaukee during " Viva Hate " tour and guys started jumping up on stage and tackling Him !!! ❤️ Also saw " The Smiths " " Queen is Dead Tour " and they refused to come out for Encores because of crowds lack of Applause ! Crowd Sucked Ass , they were Great ! Especially Johnny Marr 💋💋💋
Everything about this is awesome except that irritating girl screaming in the phone mic. (sorry if that's your girlfriend haha)... Anyway...How Soon Is Now is the absolute song of my life. I will ever ever bore of that timeless amazing tune!! Thank you Morrissey and Smiths for the songs that shaped all those years of mayhem and ups and downs and.....fun.
@@smacker2182 I WENT TO HIS SHOW HERE IN BRAZIL. AND MANY DID NOT KNOW HOW TO ANSWER WHAT THEY WILL DO WHEN THAT DAY COMES. DO YOU REMEMBER THAT WHEN THE SMITHS END THERE WAS A SUICIDE SERIES OF THE BAND FANS BECAUSE OF THAT?
Thank you for sharing this. It's very good - except for the stoopid nearby person squealing like a stuck pig every 30 seconds or so. (eye roll) Thanks again for sharing. Bloody ripper!
I absolutely loved this concert and sat further out on the right side. To me it didn’t seem like enough fan fare and screaming but I agree if I was recording and she screamed in my ear all night I would be miffed. I was happy to see his following and I love him even more now! Thanks for this full recording. I wanted desperately to be in the moment but kept taking my phone out to record to have memories of this performance. I hope this isn’t the last concert of his that I attend.
What a difference Alain Whyte makes, gone off Morrissey live for a few years as Boz and Jesse lack the finesse that Whyte brings to the lineup, back on top form now again, can't wait to hear the new material Moz and Whyte co write now that Whyte is back in the fold.
EPIC !! re watching the magical and morbid assembly of lyrics, love ,lust and honesty. No one but Moz can be tell the truth witha twist. Glad we were there in person. PEEL ME A GRAPE !!!
I missed it when he came to New Orleans 2-3 yrs. ago. If he ever comes back I will propel myself on stage to kiss and/or touch him. Sooo... there's that.
I was on steward duties at a Morrissey gig 2004. I didn't care much of him. Second song of the set was first of the gang. I was aware the floor I was stood on was bouncing six inches. This version is poor compared to the 2004 verdion. He smashed it.
Lol, we really have gone full circle when people enjoying a concert in the flesh are considered a nuisance by those wanting to live their lives through their screens. Morrissey has probably written a song about you.
A dream. I want SO badly to see Morrissy live. I ALMOST flew to CA to see him at the Hollywood Bowl just before the world caught fire. Maybe he'll show up in Atlanta someday?.....
Im the kind of person that never coments about just see and take action. So this day I Wanna say to Morrisey , thanks for Share his truth with Beauty, justice and LOVE Knowing its just a comment. Thanks for share yours !!!!
For once, it's mostly female fans rushing the stage. Andy Rourke did say he was happy when they played America, because there were more female fans, unlike England where it was almost entirely male.
