New York Doll (2005)
New York Doll is a documentary based on the life of former New York Dolls member Arthur Kane. It was nominated for both a Satellite Award and a Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, where it premiered in 2005.
A recovering alcoholic and recently converted Mormon, Arthur "Killer" Kane, of the rock band The New York Dolls, is given a chance at reuniting with his band after 30 years.
The film features an interview with Morrissey, who is a life long New York Dolls devotee, and who arranged the reunion.

So great that Arthur got to play again, that the might New York Dolls took the stage again, and before he died he got some glimpse of the love for the Dolls and the influence they had and how much they meant to so many people, and that his hard life had not been for nothing, that he made a mark. RIP Killer Kane.

Morrissey has a lot of passion in the way that he talks here. The only thing that was annoying in this part 2 video, is the glitching that happened and the sound pop.

I have his book! Morrissey's Dolls book I mean, really more of a booklet. I'm guessing it's valuable? or maybe not in keeping with this whole theme. I never expected the reunion cd was going to be as great as it was! and the two BALLADS were going to be SO GREAT!

Is the face itch around 0/54 M's, little escape sign,, his "Get me out of here" signal? The moment he does it, his PA jumps in and you get the sly smile It's hilarious. Brits like us are a language, well can't you read?

Stardom road is littered with wrecks and carcasses. No one ever promissed that showbusiness was fair. Marcia,Thunders and Nolan did it to themselves though. Some bands have to fight harder. Mediocrity will always be king.Which doesn't make it right. I'd be thankful to leave a legacy like that of the Dolls, even without the material rewards. These guys came out of a survival of the fittest environment {New Yoik} anyway. They knew what they were in for. They picked themselves up and started again. No great mystery.

Total crime how the Dolls did not have the success they deserved and yet all those bum bands like MOtley Crue and Poison all obviously influenced by the Dolls made it big.
