The scroll of hell fire is not always in stock at the mages guild in Sadrith Mora. Dabienne Mornardl has some scrolls in a random loot table. You may need to wait a few in game days for them to appear. Alternatively, you can use the Scroll of Taldam's Scorcher from Galbedir in the Balmora mages guild. She always has them in stock. However, you will need to be a little more careful since they require you to be closer to use (on touch spell).
There is a really nice vanilla friendly mod you can just drop in - that changes potion icons into their first effect spell symbol =] I appreciate your beginner friendly non-meta ideas. How would you suggest an Archer get started? Marksman & thrown weapons are really hard to start with.
@@ma2perdue I would probably start as a wood elf because they can start with 55 marksman skill. One of the official plugins from Bethesda includes an archery merchant in Vivec who sells a Dwemer Crossbow and enchanted arrows. I would start with there. A few weeks ago I was messing around with that weapon and with around 60 marksman skill I could take down city guards easily. You can also make a custom levitation spell with a magnitude of 1 with cast on target. Enemies hit with a levitation spell move a lot slower which can help for archer builds.
@@brashedgaming omg of course the levitation cheese =] I really dislike the woodelf but I could see them as a viable race choice if you only look at start skills. Yeah ! That archery merchant is hilarious as an addition. One time I ran an archer in Oblivion and I got enormous luck at getting magic arrows dropped from bandits.
I'm like level 10 on my mage so I can improvise a lot of this, thank you. It's time to finally upgrade from Dwarven, I don't know how the other mages survive like this.
Getting that many Septims at that start of the game is as easy as killing Ra'Virr in Balmora when you arrive, and getting the bounty off your head at the Thieves Guild for about 20 septims. It only gives you a bounty of 40 if you kill him, which means guards won't chase you, but don't engage them in conversation until you get it taken away. Ra'Virr has some very valuable items you can sell to Creeper (the Scamp) in Caldera by joining the Mage's Guild and teleporting there with their travel service. Creeper always buys things at face value and has 5000 septims to purchase goods from you. Near the manor Creeper resides in (Ghorak Manor), there's another house owned by an orc woman (Bashuk gra-Bat), if you kill her you get NO bounty and can rest at her place to restock Creeper. You'll have 5000 septims pretty much by the time you're done selling Creeper all of the stuff you got from Ra'Virr.
Another easy way is to clear the smugglers cave just left of Seyda Neen because there is a crate of skooma in that cave. Sell tge skooma to creeper in Caldera. Then travel to the Redoran canton in Vivec, go to its underworks becsuse there is a deadric dagger for free under there! Then go back to Caldera where creeper is buy and sell back to creeper whatever weapons and skooma you gave him before so he has 10,000 gold in his cache. Then sell the deadric dagger for 10,000 easy gold all without killing anyone besides smugglers.
@@LordMalice6d9 Or steal the free, high quality alchemy set in the Caldera Mage guild office (it's just sitting upstairs unattended) and then get to work on ramping up your Intelligence potions before using your newly acquired high intellect to make a Personality potion. Then sell Creeper one napkin for his entire cache. I can't remember if Creeper IS effected by high Personality. If not, then use it hit up the other shops and take their entire stock AND all their money.
Wait yeah, it looks like all the pieces I'll personally need would be in that Druscashti joint, plus a bunch of other loot to fund my spellcrafting and alchemy habits. I only need greaves, boots, cuirass, one pauldron and one gauntlet, I'm not greedy. And I've got the spells and summons to potentially take that place on right now...
Lol, it was way easier to get the ebony armor than killing Umbra for the Orcish set. I think Orcish armor is one of the best looking sets in Morrowind, so it is usually my go to set for aesthetic reasons.
Man, i fucking hated this game the first time i played. I went from oblivion backwards to this one. Hella different... these games got more user friendly skyrim being easiest. This game kicked my fucking ass at first and some places still do.
If you ever need tips that aren't game breaking just ask any vet.. I play through often and never have any problems with anything and I play this on hard. If you want free easy armor fresh off the boat it's there if you know where to look. I posted up my methods, even if you are mid to late game and need money or gear to help, the vaults is easy and most likely the most under rated place to go right away. Being low level with daedric or ebony doesn't help much. I mean they help but on hard mode they barely help much when you have no hitpoints to make the difference.. but welcome to morrowind the land of fuck this ima air strike this tuff some bch wink lol levitate most broken yet fun spell in the game.
This game definitely has a more steep learning curve than the other ones, but once you know what you're doing it becomes the easiest because there are so many ways to become overpowered with alchemy and custom spells.
Armour weight is an issue in morrowind Ebony and even worse Daedric armour requires you do a lot of fortify strength or feather constant effect enchantments...that's a timely and expensive process
Ebony armor is definitely too heavy to wear at level 1 effectively unless you spend time making money and enchanting. The video is more to show that it's possible but maybe not practical to get ebony armor in the early game lol.

Might I suggest though that you do others on how to exploit things like enchanting and alchemy to get shielding or sanctuary spells on your jewellery. I've noticed many newbies don't like the tank/battlemage style of play
@kingofthegrill personally, I use a spell to make myself a full suit of Bound Armor before combat. That way I don't have to lug that crap around all the time.
