I've never played Morrowind and have no idea what's going on here... But I just watched this whole video and loved every minute of it.

The ending reminds me of the time I broke alchemy, went insane with power and crafted among other things these absurd fortify/restore fatigue potions, which lasted me ~a month of on-and-off play-time across multiple saves, but when they finally wore off my dude fell unconscious for 6 in-game days.

Not making Fortify Luck potions in beforehand? What a grand and intoxicating innocence.

Yknow, Ireland in many ways is like Morrowind. But in even more ways, it's not like Morrowind at all.

Oh my god, that end reminded me of the first time I ever used fortify health in Morrowind. I finally defeated this dude, and 15 seconds later I just drop dead, and didn't save.

The first time I managed to beat that guy at a low level, it took about 20 scrolls to summon an army of random shit and they beat him down while I watched from a safe distance.

What I did to beat him that might've worked here is train my Marksman up to 100, then get a dwarven crossbow and a bunch of the area of effect bolts from the archery store in Vivec. Then I'd just jump around with high agility sniping at him.

What a journey. Morrowind is such a joy.

27:13 Fun fact: In Morrowind, when Fortify Health wears off, it takes the added health back, even if that would prove fatal.* In Oblivion, the Fortify Health effect was changed so that you would always be left with at least 1 HP. The change also carried over into Skyrim. *Therefore, it's a good idea to have a low-level constant effect Fortify Health enchantment on a piece of clothing, as that will prevent the effect from inflicting mortal damage onto you. Healing to full before it wears off may or may not also work; I haven't tested it. It might still be fatal if the Fortify Health effect doubles (or greater) your health, and you take more damage than your natural max health, even if you heal before it wears off. Like I said, I haven't tested it, but I have reason to believe it may work like that from what my sources are saying. The previously-stated enchantment should prevent death even in that situation, though. ...Y'know, I think removing the enchanted piece of clothing would probably ALSO do mortal damage when removing it. You may need another, different piece of Fortify Health enchanted clothing to prevent that that you only put on when taking off the first enchanted item. If you wore the second one all the time, it would ALSO probably deal mortal damage. Or maybe, no matter what, if you take more than your max health worth of damage while under the effects of Fortify Health, it will always deal mortal damage, even if the sources are different. That could be how it works. ...or just install the Morrowind Code Patch, which changes the effect from fortify health to fortify max health, circumventing the damage effect entirely. I haven't tested anything; I'm just interpreting what I'm being told.

My gaenor-killing strat is to abuse alchemy to boost INT, then use ghoul hearts and golden sedge flowers (you can only find in Mournhold) to make potions of Fortify Attack (which increase your chance to hit with weapons) Then you take an un-enchanted weapon and whack him until he dies. His luck does nothing against a 100%+ chance to hit, and also can't reflect the magic that your weapon doesn't have. With long-lasting crazy strong healing potions you can make while you're the biggest brain in the universe, he can't kill you while you're whittling him down with your guaranteed damage.
