All explore soundtracks and main theme of Morrowind. Music by Jeremy Soule, Game by Bethesda. Every day i fell asleep with this compilation playing, I imagine myself exploring the world of Morrowind as a Nerevar Reborn.
I bought Morrowind by chance at Target one day shopping. Looked cool and I hadn't been into gaming for a long time, at the time I was 35 years old and was interested in what computer games had become in the 20 years I had forgotten about them. Brought it home and loaded it up... Changed my life, seems silly, but just wow, hadn't had that much fun alone and in wonder in a long time. It's stuck with me ever since. Getting older, I hope I can hold on to the enchantment! Lol. Peace to you brothers and sisters.
Morrowind is amazing , i played it at age 9 , im 25 now, i didnt Understand what i supossed to do so i just Explored around and collected items. I have played it now Also but the Quest journal on the regular Xbox is horrible so ill get it on PC
@@ColdBeer Oblivion certainly didn't have the magic that Morrowind had. There was something about the high customization of stats that Morrowind had and Oblivion lacked. Remember when there were three types of blade skills you could have in Morrowind? Oblivion only had one skill, and that was just blade. Also, remember how you could kill important characters in Morrowind? In Oblivion, you couldn't. Morrowind just felt like there was more freedom.

i remember playing this when i was a little shit running scared from guars pissing my pants over daedra not realising that you had to sleep to level up....
I've played all the Elder Scrolls games from Arena to ESO...... but I'll never forget the first time I played Morrowind..... I was utterly blown away by everything this game was.
Its really something huh, Arena dosen't have much definition on the world, only the legendary objets that are randonly placed around and the main story; Daggerfall is the middle ground, developying structures, the world, and lore in a heavy way, and then boom years later they use all this and give us this beauty all the best and more in one place, in the same way thanks to Morrowind all the following main titles came to be in some ways and forms. It really is quite a gem of a game in many aspects.
Same, I still have all my original boxes with the receipts in them. Going from Arena to Daggerfall felt like a massive leap, then Battlespire and then redguard while still fun were not a Daggerfall replacement. Morrowind really felt like the last of an era for these type of rpgs where you can really get immersed in the otherworldly environment, lore, npcs an feel like you could legitimately roleplay your character and your actions actually have consequences. Since then no other first or third person rpg has been able to capture that feeling for me. Oblivion looked cartoonish but had good quests however it wasnt an rpg, felt like an action game with rpg-lite elements. Skyrim even more so only with some character polish but even further stripped of even more rpg elements until anniversary edition, although nothing from the game seems unique and all cookie cutter fantasy. Morrowind was something else even without the rose tinted glasses in my humble opinion. The comment I'm responding to is 9 years old at this point but regardless I feel the need express how I agree with the statement.
oh man i remember the first time i set eyes on a silt strider. i got frightened thinking i was gonna have to fight that huge thing xD man i love this game.
I used to play Morrowind on Christmas morning every year and this just brings back good memories. I smile every time. Fascinating that music can do that, huh...
The second song, peaceful waters, gets me everytime. Its so perfect with its mood, and Just brings me back to a time I slept outside because I couldn't afford then inn early in the game, only to awake with an assassin trying to end me. After slaying him, the rain began to fall and wash away the blood of his defeat, and just as he fell and the rain began to fall harder, this song played to accent everything perfectly.
Something about the way the music keeps playing when you enter caves and dungeons adds SO much to the immersion...just makes the game feel like home. Hard to describe why.
This is the greatest game that ever existed. This song makes me wanna play my first character.. A savage nord who wielded ANYTHING two handed. Didnt care. Smash n loot was my tactic. All hail Nerevar! You know you love this game if you're here :D
You can make your own spells, enchant your own weapons, make your own potions, you can dive for pearls and most of all you can fly! Best game with best music, ever.
I am a nefarious troll from the internet... but I love Morrowind. It would be so cool to have a new Elder Scrolls game set in Morrowind again. Morrowind had the best atmosphere.
Cyrodil (Oblivion) had the best atmosphere, in my opinion. But Morrowind's music is far superior to any Elder Scrolls Game to date. The only part of Morrowind that I enjoy is the coastal regions and the southern grassy plains. Not overly fond of the Ashlands. :3
Nah, for me Oblivion will always be silly. Atmosphere was too fairy and colorful. People had strange and weird face reactions while i was using speechcraft (and that was very easy to success by the way). I remember moment when soldier told me about new portal in city. And after his speech he did huge banana-smile :D cause of my high personality. Yea, sure mr soldier, new demon-portal in city is such a funny thing :D Anyway, I played 3 Elder Scrolls games and in my opinion its Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion
I was initially turned off by Oblivion's setting as well, but eventually came around to it . I feel like Oblivion has the greatest balance between RPG elements and combat. Skyrim is too action-y for a lot of people. Morrowind is too clunky for a lot of other people. Oblivion is that perfect mix of not being too complicated, but still has enough depth to create some really interesting gameplay.
Maybe it's nostalgia, but it's still the best game soundtrack I've ever heard. It evokes such sense of wonder and adventure, and fits Morrowind perfectly. Couldn't tell you how many hundreds of hours I've listened to it back in the day.
I second that, it's difficult to unwind to tracks like "Bright Spears, Dark Blood". Listening to those tracks just make me have dreams with cliff racers in them.
This is a true masterpiece. Fifteen years and love it more and more. It has a wonderful balance of moments, it's like life goes on and on, uphill and downhill, inside and outside, no matter weather.
i have been playing games almost 25 years and i still can't have the same fealing that i had when i first played morrowind it was something realy special, the relaxing atmosphere of music and ambient of exploring also neverwinter nights had the same effect ... still to this day i havent got that fealing in any other games that i played since then and i had played alot of different games.. still remarkable experiance only once in a life time
This game gave me a way to forget the hard times I was going through at the time for just a little bit the music just brings back all the memories good and bad
16:54 This part reminds me, even makes me envision the desperation and pain that i went through in my earlier years, in our worst times we are reborn, this moment marks a change, i had my share of experiences, i just hope to remember them, that sweet feeling of pain, while suffering the most. Sickness and pain can really expose a human to it's core.
A game's soundtrack really is its beating heart. Within the music it's almost like I can hear all the voice-lines of the NPCs, the crashing rain and winds, the footstep sounds, the wail of the Silt Striders and all the accompying ambience that makes this game breathe. It brings me back to a warm place that I've missed so dearly.
My favorite game of all time. I'll never forget playing it for the first time on Xbox back in 2003. I wish I could go back to simpler times when my life wasn't a waste. . But it's still a great game and beautiful soundtrack.
right, time to dig the game out and start another adventure; Barter with traders, forage weapons and armour, Worship Daedra princes, and battle bandits.
if you get your weapons skill up early with a trainer and find a good weapon its not so bad. it actually becomes quite fun to smack enemies in the face and see them fall
They say morrowind wasn't liked too much because the game tried to be too many things at once. They were right but at the same time wrong, the gameplay is absolutely magnificient and relaxing. Easy going yet balanced and challenging. In the beginning its fun to find new things, catch diseases by mistake, quicksave right before dying and get stuck in a loop. In the end game its funny to jump over cities at a time and kill cliffracers mi-air
Quan Nham I liked to make a long lasting levitate spell and just float over the mountains. Morrowind had so much freedom compared to the newer games :(
The bio is so incredible haha its exactly what I do when I listen to this , lay down and imagine playing my old character , how a game can be so enchanting and wonderfully captivating I will never understand but it is and morrowind is a masterpiece of not just videogames but of all art
jiub (the very first person you see in morrowind on the ship) kills all the cliffracers off. you find out in skyrim in the soul cairn. i knew his name was familiar
going back to the home i made in morrowind near Pelagaid... the fire crackling in the fire place in my enchanting room... warm, filled with colored rugs and tapestries and gems and colored jewels laid on yellow papers prepared to be used in alchemy.... I observe my wooden furniture and hear the rain outside and then I take my sweet time enchanting scrolls and items and making potions for my next adventure... I think of what dangers i might face and make all sorts of amazing one time spells and trinkets my class was an enchanter and sadly only in morrowind can u truly PLAY as a pure enchanter and actually survive. skyrim and OB are just poor imitations of morrowind.. like whores with pretty faces that suck in bed, while morrowind is like the girl u love that is not super hot but can fuck ur brains out and really understands what u need
Every time I feel the ink black grip of all encompassing rage and anger I run to Morrowind. Morrowind has the power to help ones self overcome the traumas of torture, 😢
POV: You've downloaded this in some form and are going to roam parts of your city/town you've never been to before with this in your ears Preferably places with trees and few people outside
5:31 Waait a minute! Solstheim! First time it was a wonderful tense experiene full of life and beautiful misery with ash and mountains *_* Wish i could visit more desolate vulcanic areas o_o
"They have taken you from the Imperial City prison. First by carriage, and now by boat. To the East. To Morrowind. Fear not, for I am watchful. You have been chosen."
