I came back to the Emba-5 mod for Morrowind. I don't know why. Here's a link to the mod - yadi.sk/d/qtifj1TlN76FU Follow my Twitter! - / demickyd #morrowind #morrowindmod #elderscrolls
To be fair, a screwdriver would probably destroy the gaps in plate armor because its technically blunt but still capable of stabbing very hard. Like a reverse rondel.
@@SpaceEmperorGenos Yeah oddly you'd rather have that than a sword, especially if you have no armor and the only way you're gonna win is by getting the drop on them.
i think he started on this mod before stalker got released during stalker hype many were building similar postsoviet maps i personally was messing with serious sam editor
@@Dustweaver I lived in Kyiv for 6 years. The guys who made Stalker got it right, it's 100% the way it looks, so there's that. I noticed the interior wood floor texture in the previous video, and it was literally the same as in my shitty Soviet-era apartment (and all the others)
It's an alcoholic beverage. By that logic It's basically whiskey and beer is basically vodka. It would depend on what Sujamma is made from. Vodka is made from potatoes i believe.
@@yegr7763 Haha, don't know why, but Sujamma sounds like it would have potatoes in its translation somewhere. Could you make Vodka, say, out of Jumbo Potatoes? Asking for a friend.
@@Howlinglider If jumbo potatoes are just bigger potatoes, then yeah. Kurt Saxon had a book or two on alcohol I think, would be a bit dated, but check there for a vodka recipe. You can likely find the book on "archive . org". I believe it was called "Drinks like grand-dad used to make" or something along those lines. Paladin Press may have a book on homemade alcohol although I can not say for certain. P.S. Try moonshine first, it's really easy to make at home I believe, used to know a guy who did. It's made from corn. I don't drink, but do know what most alcoholic drinks are made from and the basic idea behind how.
@@chrisbunting5437 Well my assumption be the scripts and every npc remain the same you just change all their names and make them all look like Fargoth. So you'd still face Dagoth Ur but he'd just look like Fargoth. Fargoth Ur.
Don't blame reality for you're crazy! Dog goes "meow", cow explodes into stars and stripes, and it is known that screwdrivers are most effective in a chopping sort of motion!
This mod... is kinda fascinating. It recreates a specific Soviet-era military installation in Kazakhstan, which was all but abandoned and left to rust in post-Soviet times (now effectively a ghost town). It is a work of mostly a single dev, who also maintains a verson for Fallout 3 (I think?)
I doubt you're gonna read this, but this mod actually has a very creepy (maybe fake, probably not) story going around it. There are several Closed Cities in Russia, cities built around strategic objects and named something funky like Gorky-17 or Seversk-22. It is said that after the collapse of the USSR one such small closed-off city in the middle of a tundra was seized by its gopnik (young petty criminal) population, who became de-facto rulers of the place, in complete control of the nukes that were stored there. The army was in disarray in the 90's, and crazier things happened, like navy combat vessels being bartered to Americans for bread, or just cut into parts and for the metal to be re-sold. Nobody bothered to take the city back, and the citizenry couldn't call for help, since communication to and from Closed Cities was always in the hands of the government. The gang who took control over that city called themselves the Вомангеры (like a russianized version of the word Warmongers) and they had three bosses, each with a nickname and a distinct personality. There was Fezky, a guy who was big with computers and tech, Zlo, a really crazy bruiser sadist type, and the third is forgotten in most modern retellings. When the army took control back, the gang was mostly wiped out, but it is said that a survivor called BCD played a lot of Morrowind in prison and when he came out he started the very mod you're playing, based on what he saw as the good old days.
@Felipe Amaral Russian prison, he was doing time in early to late 00's, when most Russian prisons (apart from the hardcore ones like White Swan) had computer classes.
@Felipe Amaral it's not common, not by a long shot, but yeah it kinda happens. Russian torrent pages for kewl games like Stalker sometimes even have comments like "This game is so good if I weren't in prison I'd buy that on Steam" etc. I think it has something to do with corruption. Like, some local official "buys" 200 computers for local prisons, but in actuality buys 20 and keeps the rest of the money, and the inmates are allowed to do whatever they want to them as long as they keep their mouths shut, or maybe computers are used as a way to reward cooperative inmates or snitches. Russian prisons are hilarious. There can be one two cubic meter cell with 10 people stuffed inside, who are fed once per day, beaten and assaulted by all manner of medieval parasites like roaches and rats, and along the corridor there's another cell, where a guy has a personal TV, smartphone and even drugs and alcohol, because he's a friend of the local mayor or something. They are extremely corrupt. Then again, I don't believe the story about the morrowind guy myself. I just read it on a board a few years ago. But it's totally possible in theory.
@@NigerianCrusader I'm not even sure the posts I read mentioned that, but I have a nagging suspicion it was either Seversk-317 or Tomsk-317. Not to be confused with the actual Seversk and Tomsk.
8:54 In Russia, these are called Bomzh (БОМЖ, Без Определенного Места Жительства, No Identifiable Place of Residence). The Bomzh are wandering alcohol-monks who tend to say very wise things.
Pfp and username of Yes man Talking about the zone Commenting on a video about morrowind Never expected to see these 3 things at the same time lmao...Hail monolith!!!
@@DIEGhostfish Nah the thing is, that isn't even a stock sound, it's a very specific modified train horn that one particular railroad in Canada uses, since Valve is so close to Canada I imagine they just went out and recorded the first train they heard
@@bigtastyben5119 damn I guess my Morrowind install is busted then. There's only 1 wood elf sized Fargoth in my game, and all he does is stand around talking about some engraved ring of healing.
Hey there, I'm Russian. You won't believe me if I say that this mod adds questlines. This mod has ridiculouly high attention to detail, so I'm surprised of dev's high enthusiasm! Have fun😀
@@henriquepacheco7473 it could be, if you all knew the translation. Also it pronounced way different: "DRUG" and "u" sounds like "ou" in "could". Free lesson
Hey Micky. Ozonspeed is the author of this mod. You can find him on youtube. He actually had 4 mods planned but decided to release only one (this one). You might want to contact him if you want to learn more about it. He did speak English (and Russian) in the comments of one other video, answering to some questions. Also, I'm pretty sure it's Russian, not Kazakh. The reason you're seeing weird characters is because your OS isn't set to use Russian as a primary language and you probably don't have Russian language pack installed for it.
so how I know, emba-5 was USSR military city, now it is Zhem located in Kazakhstan. And culture of current russia(like gopnik's and other) is actual for all post-soviet countries(I don't know exactly but i sure for Kazakhstan)
@@-roejogan- I think you'd rather need a specific Russian font file for the game I remember we had to do something with the game's .ini file to have an opportunity to change the language we write in text boxes/console
The text is what’s known as mojibake, and it’s the result of attempting to render one character encoding using another. It’s attempting render Cyrillic characters uses the US character set, so nothing is mapped correctly. UTF8 largely solves this, but Morrowind appears to use older ISO ascii standards.
Damn, the moment when you walked around the gopnik at the gate, it was a real and extremely accurate experience of walking home from school in cities of Russia and the former Soviet Union in the 80s and 90s. (it is important to add that the visual aesthetic here replicates small soviet cities rather than the big and main ones) "Can I get through here or will I have to fight? Do I know this gopnik and can I negotiate with him? Would it be better to go over the fences today?" NOICE!
It is awesome that you chose to revisit the mod with your own character. I really enjoyed this video. Glad you are doing videos you enjoy. Makes it much more enjoyable for me to watch. I wish you a nice weekend 😊
My like 3rd or 4th time rewatching your videos, honestly, something about you is the best! Thank you for being among the best content creators out there Micky, been around since like 10-20k Can't wait till you hit 1 million cause that's where you're headed, you're honestly a comedic genius.
Hey, just stumbled across your videos less than a week ago and I'm really enjoying your content! I have liked every video I've seen cuz I really enjoy the videos and narration you do! Please keep the videos coming ! :)
It's hard to ingest but if you can get past it and 'immerse' yourself, even though i hate that word, you can look past a lot of the rough parts of the game. A lot of the best parts of the game are the secrets and the sense of discovery. Just be very patient with it and if you need a few mods to ease the transition to use them! Personally, I just can't get into the game. I try. But I just can't. But for what it's worth that goes for all Bethesda games. Fallout 1-4 (yes 1 and 2 aren't Bethesda) and Elder Scrolls 1-5. I _like_ Fallout: New Vegas though. Sorry for the long post about nothing.
The song near the end when you get into the friendly building is Jean-Marc Dompierre "El Bimbo" -- I know it from a few scenes in the Police Academy film series.
I didn’t ask for it... but I love that you went back to it. Always was curious of this mod. Also, yes, tons of STALKER asset rips or something. Blue boxes are used a lot for stashes. Stalker is a great game. And seeing someone playing Morrowind this day is so nostalgic! Would you happen to have a good mod list for this day and age? So many got lost when paid mods was a thing for a moment.
mod made by a single *russian* guy, it adds in the game *russian* town (Emba-5) that was located in Kazakhstan (former republic of USSR). So it's technically a Russian mod.
@@aruzhan9664 Yeah , it was a soviet town, but even after collapse this territory was rented by Russia until 2017 (but it wasn't used as a polygon since 1999). So it's more than enough to call this city russian.
You were wondering about what your problem is with the knock down; For a level 15/16 warrior type character, 44/46 agility is rather low. Low agility = higher chance of getting hit and a higher chance of getting knocked down when hit, especially when you're being hit with lots of damage.
i like the mod. Gives off that Eurojank feel. I love the early 2000s PC graphics style. Each enemy is powerful and presents a unique challenge. Screwdriver guy- High hp, high damage. Guitar guy- Very high knockdown rate, moderate damage. Fist guy- Very high fatigue damage, low damage, impossible to run from. Gun guy- Very high damage, ranged, low hp. And the items you get from each type of enemy will help you with another type. I like how it's set up. It's too bad there's no way to read most of what is going on. If there's a questsline available, you can't do it.
I just watched the first russia mod video and heard that you said that you need to return. I wanted to look if its already uploaded and suddenly it was! Love ur videos, you gained yourself a fan!
For mods, I would highly recommend checking out Morrowind Rebirth, it adds a lot of interesting changes to the game such as expanded cities, new creatures, and lots of balancing changes
