I don’t get why people say Quan chi is bad, he’s got some great combos and a good number of mixups.

The reason Ermac wasn't played as much in tourney is because his gameplay heavily relies on rushdown to overwhelm the opponent into mix-ups, but the name of the game is to play lame- and that's just not quite as possible with Ermac. Ermac is definitely top 10; tourney doesn't ultimately decide the best characters because everyone is playing scared, and doesn't want to take any risks.

I haven't been able to win at Mortal Kombat since MK4 where all you had to do was use quan chi tele stomp and uppercut.

Rain is definitely an NRS fave. Some trivia: Ed Boon is an enormous fan of Prince and loves the song Purple Rain. Now take a look at the character with that in mind :) Great video as always!

Sub is only viable with a single kameo. Take khamelion away and he’s bottom tier. Move him down. Also, ball roll doesn’t fix his gaps. Not sure where you got that. Ball roll is incredibly punishable.

The only main thing I disagree with is smoke. If u pair him with sareena online where it’s hard to react to his either low or overhead combo starter, u don’t have to use his cancel to combo off it either, ur just use her scythes. Smoke/sareena is the most common team I see for smoke online

I don’t think GERAS is really that low. He has some of the craziest setups I’ve seen and he’s quite versatile in my opinion. I recommend watching domoralize as he’s the best GERAS and uses him very uniquely.

Kenshi is op, I get destroyed anytime sentos comes out any noob can hold block while controlling sentos. I don’t use it myself bc it’s not fair and to just make the opponent block and not let them play the game. It’s a broken feature

I think garris is scarier than people give him credit for, that Sand a trap change made it so that s12 and f24 both get a full combo mid and corner, Movado lets him get full combos off his command grab and regular throw, trimmer. Lets him get full combos off his command grab and regular throw, trimmer. Also lets him get armor breaking 50/50s anytime he decides to do a combo and end it with 1221+3, plus the consistent launcher and different combo routes both cameos offer him. The inevitable being 21 frame startup now means that if you so much as here or see any projectile on screen or any normal, instant time freeze into combo into another clock setup. However, buffing the raw command grab is a damn good idea, drives me nuts that the only way to make the command grab lethal is in the corner where it does 19% if you throw them out of the corner, trimmer is the only Cameo I have found that I can convert off the side of switching grab. So it becomes an actual threat then, but it takes a full Cameo bar for it and a little bit of setup since the best I found was using the inevitable snap after ambushing into the low ground pound to side switch to put them back in the corner and keep comboing

Glad to see Peacemaker get the nerfs, the broken cheese needed to stop lol I agree with the input on smoke, having to master 'vapors' just to be an effective toon, does seem like allot. He's still hella fun though. I am surprised on Tanya, doesn't come off as that strong a toon. Rain got crazy buffed. But, so did Geras just recently. I am wondering, if your list is based off pre-patch or current?

I think they should make haviks strings faster and being able to cancel is arm launcher the same way ermac and rain can cancel and continue with the combo since it’s so slow slight damage buff and new moves and new launchers and taking away the gaps he has except for the grab one I just think he needs to be faster also being his projectiles stronger and faster and if the projectiles already out it shouldn’t get cancelled out if he is hit bc it makes no sense for that to happen

List looks good but you got Homelander tier 1 and Peacemaker tier 3 when SonicFox has Homelander tier 3 and Peacemaker tier 1 post nerfs so idk 🤔

Peacemaker is not S tier anymore his forcefield is useless is way too slow. And some of his attacks is even more unsafe. And his health so low so if someone do a 450 plus damage just 2 times? You’re 💀

Raiden’s chip was massively nerfed, I’m pretty sure Scorpion has better chip damage now.

I don't game allot really. Today I played Mortal Kombat 1 twice, that is how much I love this game. I still get confused on which kameos to put with which characters but over all I am really enjoying this game.

I really don't like the whole, let's destroy the top tiers method of balancing. All you did is make two characters unappealing, and there will always be some new busted af replacement. It would be better to make the characters meet halfway. Nerf the top tiers less, buff the low tiers more.

Havnt played Mk in 20 years , Just got MK1 a couple days was in tutorial challenges & when i got to Li Mei i was like wow her specials are easy to do & her combos are crazy .. Then i look her up on yt & everybody saying she got buffed & now S tier .. guess i couldnt have picked a better time to get into mk , My main apparently finally getting love 🤷🏽‍♂️😂

Not gonna lie i feel that NRS has a straight vendetta against havik. No buffs since season 1. But constant indirect nerfs. All the while glaring flaws all over eg. Projectile startup. Or the so easily interruptible back 22 which is his only actually viable string and also the fact that his down 1/4 doesnt cancel into anything unlike everyone else or even jails. And the biggest culprit a lack of instant armour move. 3 hits of enhanced armour means nothing if the opponent can just casually take a nap and react to it or be so slow the armour can be easily broken like by liu or even mileena. I dont know why NRS is not buffing but nerfing him instead.

Hot take, I think Havik should be a grappler, remove his projectile of bf1 and keep his bf3 for pressure like Kitana with her db3, then give him more moves that are throws that grab low as well, which makes him cool

Scorpion has some really good mixups his >A+Y >O+triangle >B+Y is really good you can give so many teleport cancles and predict alot of things and air spear chain combos it jumps from 20% to like 50% and you only need like 2 bars its pretty easy to play him I'm not saying hes top there but he is still should be and the very good tier

Baraka Jax is very good and has really good damage. I feel its slept on.

That’s crazy you put Mileena that high considering she has ZERO safe combos each one can be upblocked for crazy damage. Each one of her Sai throws are by far one of the worse in the game on BLOCK, they can’t hit full screen and if you throw them up close -16 standing on block & low Sai is -23 on block. Every female fighter can throw a projectile and be safe on block

This was a pretty good list. I would only probably personally put Scorpion up a little higher, but I still think this list feels about right with everyone.. Well, okay, I would probably rate Scorpion, Reptile, and Ermac higher personally, lol.. But I'm still good this! 🔥👍 #MK1🔥🐉

Are Li Mei’s buffs really that good?! Her reversal lion lick against d1s was already there. She forces players to rely less on d1s. Her 4312 string has no gap now, right? But it still starts as a high. Exploding her own lantern will make it hit mid now but the horizontal range is still bad. Her f3 has faster recovery but still not that useful imo. I’m not complaining and I’m a Li Main. I was gonna be excited about her mid lantern but it doesn’t seem that different. Also, her combo damage with Janet got nerfed. Omni-man can do about 41-46% damage mid-screen, no meter AND no kameo 😵 He isn’t as stubby as Li Mei. Fujin is my fave’ MK character so I can admit he was tops in 11. I’ll hold out on where to place Li Mei but I can see how Li Mel could be top 10. Not too surprising.

Do they allow the ninjas to have extra cheese every game? I get an up block or its clearly my turn and sub zero, smoke, or scorpion, can jump out of immediate grab attempt. Scorpion seems like he can jump over any projectile or clear hit in time while other characters can get hit by my attacks. Lastly, i don't think the dev team plays this game online before release. You almost need computer like speeds to react to hits and kameos online.
