THINK SHANG TSUNG, THINK!!!! I love how this ending was able to connect to the events of the series. Can’t wait for more of Invincible Season 2. It’s gonna be bloody epic. JK Simmons was born to voice Omni-Man, just as he was perfect to bring J. Jonah Jameson to life.

@@Thewalternut they’re great at making conflicting characters, and ik they’re not evil- atleast compared to the bigger bads in the comics. But the one we know the most of- happens to be the only one to make that decision for Earth. There could be more exactly like him, but he’s the only one they’ve shown off to us. @@Thewalternut Angstrom Levy in comics did say he specifically sought out alternate versions of Mark that turned and remained evil, There’s a chance he’ll still come around and admit that truth later on in the show. Pretty sure there’s a alternate Mark out there for example that did do some horrible stuff like allowing Earth to be conquered by Viltrum Empire under naivety that life would be better. But redeems himself after witnessing humanity subjected to slavery and discrimination firsthand, So he turns against his people and join up with Thaedus and Coalition of Planets to stop them.

@@jesseweneedtofastAmazon has only greenlit 3 seasons so far, so they’ll probably fight him at the start of S3. If Amazon doesn’t give them more seasons, they’ll probably have to cut out a lot of the content from later in the comics and write a new ending to the Viltrum war.

I think what’s more terrifying is that Omni-Man’s strength has been boosted even more after fighting in the MK universe, not to mention he’s probably learned a few new tricks whilst being there. it’s sad because deep down he doesn’t want to hurt Mark again but knows what the consequences are if he doesn’t conquer earth.

Beyond controlling time or something, I don’t know how else he gets stronger since only mark and younger viltrumites can increase their power quickly as they’re new while the older ones get stronger over time.

You can tell this ending is based more on where TV show currently is right now since if it is based on the original comics, which has since concluded in 2018, Omni-Man and the Viltrumite empire have already changed so much for the better. Hopefully, the show lasts long enough to get through all the important content of the comics.

@@Justin_Shadow The MK guys are really into their series more than other companies. Monetary practices aside, you can tell these dudes care about their series and it's reputation. Injustice 2, MK9 and X were great with making characters interact, but 11 was amazing. Each character had multiple interactions with others, even DLC characters, and it really did flesh many out. For the DLC, Rambo would actually comment on Robo-Cop's augmentations for example, and many comments between characters speculate WHY Rambo showed up or what his mission even is. My favorite "wtf am I seeing this is amazing" is in Injustice. Raiden or Sub-Zero offering Leonardo the TMNT turtle training while they fight in the goddamn Batcave before a fight, AND IT MAKES SENSE SOMEHOW.

That depressing sigh Omni-Man gives before admitting that he hopes Mark will be prepared for his return to Earth really warrants that he wants his son to stop him with the true intent of killing him. Both as a sign of release with his conflict of humanity and race of conquerors and relief knowing that if Mark kills him, his son will be able to take on anymore unimaginable threats to Earth. This is one the great examples of what an anti-villian could be

Kinda hard to have Mark in Injustice 3 when he's from a comic where people get cut in half and break into pieces blood everywhere. Warner Bros. Would water Mark down in Injustice 3. I would rather have him in MK 1 as another DLC character especially since this ending gives a good hint that they should just imagine having an ending where Mark haves to fight his dad or the interacting he'll have fighting his dad in the game. It's like having Homelander without Butcher it just would suck not us having that dream match seeing Butcher going "Oui cunt!" To Homelander and beating Homelander's face in you kinda want to see that

Same here. I was thinking about Invincible being a guest DLC character for Injustice 3 along with He-Man, Skeletor (both of whom appeared in an official comic crossover), and Lion-O (who fought Superman like He-Man).

Like you said it would be watered down as we've seen with MK v DC or Raidan and Sub Zero being DLC for the second Injustice game and Scorpion being DLC for the first. You can have characters from 18+ games be in Injustice, it would just be a PG version of them. And yes it would be a lot better to have Mark be in MK

I just started reading the invincible comics because of the show and it's crazy how the first season of invincible only captures Nolan as the ruthless viltrumite invasion schemer when he's only like this for a split second in the comics and then he has a great character arc (so far where I'm reading), which sees him become a different man altogether.

This ending shows us well the way Omi man must keep head up when he's realizing his ambitions upon Viltrom are leading to unstoppable conflicts between him and Mark which is affecting them, especially cuz of earth. I've totally understand it in S2. By the way I'm wondering if he has the same voice actor like in the show 🤔

I think they only take 1 person per series per game. Mark isn't really suitable for a MK1 appearance just yet anyway. If Invincible continues to be popular though, I can see him being introduced in the new MK2 or MK3
